Why can Hurley do this to a referee and not get a T, when a UK coach can can barely argue without getting one.
Maybe he would have if it was a different point in the game because a technical there could decided the game. I’m just imagining if Pope or Cal when he was at UK doing that at any point and not getting one

I was wondering the same thing. At that point I suspect Hurley didn’t realize there were 0.4 second left.

It looked like the ref was leaning in to tell him over all the noise that there is still time on the clock. He leaned in too and it looked weird. His expression shows he wasn't ripping the ref or anything.

You can’t tell me we wouldn’t be celebrating this if he was our coach. He’s a psycho and that’s why he wins.

When one is face-to-face with the second coming of Jeffrey Dahmer (or a vampiric creature from I Am Legend), I assume T-ing that guy up is the last thing on one's mind. Dude's a ****** psycho.

TG or DH would never leave their positions to come to Kentucky, never going to happen, arguably it’s a step down in the modern era of basketball, we are a lesser version of UCLA-legacy.

I know he’s a great coach, but I swear that dude ain’t right in the head. So many weird little things he does. Why during a moment of celebration would one suddenly go nose to nose with the ref like that?
Dudes clearly never been punched in the mouth

Maybe Pope could teach Hurley about the importance of silence and meditation.

That’s all he could teach him.

He looks a lot like Slingblade in that pic but I didn't see anything but a weird guy being weird.

Nice guys finish last. Hurley and Golden are dominating the sport, and we're stuck with Mr. Clean's Rain Man brother.
Dang, yall vicious.

This is “what used to be” college bball, not some life or death ****.

The hate and nastiness thrown at Pope is unreal.

I can understand when college sports (sans UK bball and $EC football minus UK and Vandy) were amateur and you had 4 year personnel and we rooted for them until their time was up but now - nil/tp have turned it upside down and highest-bidder driven whereas the coach is not the traditional “coach” who can see a season, or consecutive seasons through with that developed personnel - instead, it’s trying to build a mercenary team and assuming the assassins can be managed.

I guess, maybe it’s not just Pope - it may be that most teams suffer the way some of yall see UK suffering - some like Mich and Arizona this year rise and next year maybe they won’t?

Like UCLA and IU, maybe UKs time has passed and there’s no amount of nil/tp that will change it?

It’s crazy considering we can’t celebrate a dunk without getting T’d.
Will never forget Aberdeen dunking on someone’s head and all he does is stick his tongue out then boom Technical.

Or Humphries bouncing a ball a bit too hard.

But an ISU dude can KICK A BALL INTO THE STANDS with nary a whistle.

It's bull ****. You know it. I know it. We all know it.
