I was so hyped about this year. Waited all summer for ball to get back. Awesome portal year with some returnees. A coach who knows how to run a set, and this is the result? Maybe his ceiling was last year. 10+ losses for his best teams. I’m seriously worried about the direction of our program after this half. It’s early, but this team has fundamentally flawed DNA. We have played 4 power program teams and 3 of them haven’t been competitive.

I wasn’t as completely in love with this roster over the offseason as the general consensus seemed to be, but I certainly didn’t expect us to be downright bad in our big games to start the year. There’s not a single aspect of our game that looked good in that first half, and that’s after a largely disappointing effort against Louisville. It’s still early in the season and all that, but I don’t think it’s overreacting to be concerned at this point when we need wholesale improvements just to be competitive.

I respect your posts. I read this site a lot when im not posting but this is what a lot of people wanted and were excited for. You dont run a HOF coach out of town in favor of an unproven coach. I like Mark Pope as a person, but his teams are so soft! I hate it

Unfortunately the red flags are there, bi polar teams from game to game. Beat Duke and get run out of the gym by OSU and Georgia. Zero recruiting ability.

Since hes a former player Mitch won't make a move until hes absolutely forced to, and if Pope was his pick who the heck will he replace him with lol. Saul Smith. It sucks though, this state lives off our team and we have been in a rut for years at this point and it already feels like this season is over in November

Kind of how I feel; still haven't recovered from Cals last few seasons. I know we have had horrible luck so far with point guards getting injured under Pope. Don't even know who to blame. Was just thinking UKs best years may be behind them. I know if we get the right coach it can turn around in a hurry. We may aleady have the right coach, just need some positive things to happen. Just have to let it all play out.
