Yes...But some of their hate words about him over the years led to his murder.

Multiple media outlets and liberal journalists who often criticized the conservative views of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk offered sincere condolences and praise for the influential conservative activist following his assassination on a Utah university campus on Wednesday.

Outlets including The Washington Post and prominent liberal voices like CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter denounced Kirk’s assassination, offered words of comfort for his family and acknowledged his talent and influence over American politics.
"Kirk, 31, was a hugely successful political field organizer, TikTok influencer, radio host, nonprofit leader and public speaker all rolled up in one telegenic figure," Stelter wrote in a CNN article published Wednesday.

The Washington Post’s editorial board praised Kirk’s brand of conservative activism in its Wednesday editorial.
"The 31-year-old, a husband and a father of two, founded the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA in 2012. Over time, he developed a massive following online and traveled frequently to college campuses — preaching to the choir while also relishing debate with his many detractors. That sort of dialogue is what universities are supposed to foster, and shooting someone for what they have to say is among the most un-American and evil acts that anyone can perpetrate."
"His voice might be gone, but his millions of fans will make sure his message is never silenced," the board added.

The New York Times editorial board denounced Kirk’s assassination and offered condolences to his friends and family in an editorial published Wednesday.
"This editorial board disagreed with Mr. Kirk on many policy questions, and we are unreservedly horrified by his killing. We grieve for his loved ones. We mourn his death."

The New York Times’ opinion columnist Ezra Klein published a piece Thursday saying that Kirk was "practicing politics in exactly the right way."
"He was showing up to campuses and talking with anyone who would talk to him. He was one of the era’s most effective practitioners of persuasion," Klein wrote.
"When the left thought its hold on the hearts and minds of college students was nearly absolute, Kirk showed up again and again to break it. Slowly, then all at once, he did. College-age voters shifted sharply right in the 2024 election," he added.

10 Times Democrats Urged Violence Against Trump And His Supporters

excerpt:
Democrats have been endorsing violence as a political tactic throughout the Trump Administration...
  • In 2018, Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu of California said on MSNBC that if Trump fired special counsel Robert Mueller, there would be “widespread civil unrest” as people would “take to the streets.”
  • former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper agreed that if Trump fired Mueller, it would “set off a firestorm not only on the Hill but also in the streets.”
  • That same year, Sen. Cory Booker urged people to answer a “call to action” to protest at the Capitol. “Please, get up in the face of some congresspeople,” Booker said at a conference.
  • Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said civility was only an option if the Democrats controlled the legislative branch. “You can’t be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for and what you care for,” she said in 2018.

@moe
When my side protests, it's a "peaceful" call to arms to stop renegades like Charlie Kirk. We only defend ourselves when Trump surrogates like him are threatening our "peaceful, tolerant" demonstrations!

OK @moe ... with your "peaceful protests" on the Left, no need then to ever worry about things like assassinations huh?

You stupid Sh*t. I'm blaming the leftest nut that pilled the trigger...end of story.
Why are you nuts blaming Charley Kirk for his own death ?
Many in the media tried to peddle that trash as soon as he was shot and even before he died.
Thankfully, some in the MSM have backed off.
However...I read the comments on story's that allow comments...all I can say is there are a lot of sick people in this world.

Not sure why you're asking me. You, the POTUS and right wing press/propagandists have all had an absolute field day demonizing all MSM and dems as the devil's spawn so there's that. You have no high ground.

Nobody has to demonize you nutjobs. That's the one thing as a team your tribe does a great job of all by yourselves. The problem you got now is everyone that doesn't belong in a rubber room is starting to see it.

Dictator Trump's corpulent body is breaking down. Stroke?

Maybe you hadn't noticed, but his legislative agenda rolls on and is gaining speed. Matter of fact as his agenda on crime, voter integrity, the budget, taxes, strong economy, energy, education reforms and the border grows, your loser party is getting weaker and more desperate.

So now you can all run against how Trump looks, since you've lost the battle over what he stands for.
