At the end of the day. I would rather lose this game and let the used car salesman win a game, than be our coach. Small price to pay. We will be playing in March while he is sitting at hom, or NIT. I’m beat up about this loss but I’m going to state what I feel about the we were “underprepared” notion. Arkansas is a putrid outside shooting team but has superior athletic slashers. We choose to give up outside shots for good reason—it was what the numbers would tell you to do. Sound familiar? It’s the same reason we were able to beat Tennessee on the road in the very last game. Sometimes a team uncharacteristically makes a lot of shots they don’t normally make and that’s exactly what happened tonight. I bet Arkansas doesn’t sniff 13 made threes again and I’m not upset that we chose to pack the paint and give up threes.
