There is no longer a better choice than Terry Smith......none!!!
He'll likely share the reason for the timing of the announcement soon--things do change but wasn't this in response to Hartline would be after the playoff to which I was saying sooner?Unless it’s to USF

It's really shocking how little his name gets mentioned here. He's a damn good coach. He wouldn't have been my #1 choice given all of the names that have seemingly had some interest, but Campbell definitely should have been on the list. I haven't seen anything that indicates Kraft even interviewed him. For someone that seemed to immediately rule out everyone that didn't have P4 head coaching experience, that baffles me.Matt Campbell
He has had plenty of good opportunities to leave for, but has never really entertained those offers. Seems he really does love where he is.It's really shocking how little his name gets mentioned here. He's a damn good coach. For sure, but are you implying that we shouldn't have pursued him because of that? I'd argue Sitake's ties to BYU are likely stronger than perhaps any coach in the country, and that's the hill Kraft decided to die on, so that's hardly a reason to not talk to Campbell. I don't have great connections but have heard through the grapevine with some ISU people that PSU is one of the jobs Campbell might actually consider, along with OSU which he's unlikely to get with Freeman and now Hartline out there building resumes to get that one.He has had plenty of good opportunities to leave for, but has never really entertained those offers. No just stating the obvious however I certainly wouldn't go all in on the guy like they did Sitake. You have to get that commitment in the form of a signature. For

pnnylion's head would explode, it'd be worth it for that aloneMike Tomlin
Can you cry anymoreNeeli needs to take the search out of Krafts hands and hire Terry Smith right now. After that, but not before that Neeli needs to work on finding Kraft's replacement at athletic director. Remember, this disaster was caused because an incompetent AD did not have anyone lined up to take the job, then chased after unicorns for too long. The program is dead. The next two years we're Purdue. Accept it. When, and only when, Neeli has an actual athletic director capable of doing the job, fire this fool and immediately hire him/her. That's my take.
You do realize these talking heads need to fill hours of air time?Hahaha…nothing of the sort. Just choosing to take everything I hear/read from the cfb talking heads and the panicked interweb masses with a grain of salt.
I agree, but Pat Kraft and Terry need to have that trust ,tone down the elite andThere is no longer a better choice than Terry Smith......none!!!
