Deputies arrested Alan Keith Robinson, Jr., 31, of Seth on Tuesday morning.
The alleged victim is a 15-year-old girl and a student in one of Robinson’s classes. The teacher also led an after-school group called, “Youth Christians in Action,” of which the victim was a member also.
Robinson was charged with sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust and with soliciting a minor via computer. Deputies were alerted when the victim’s parents found text messages between their daughter and the teacher. The relationship had been ongoing for several months, deputies said.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department, continuing the investigation in case there are other victims, are asking anyone who may believe they have been victimized by Robinson to call the sheriff’s department. Robinson’s bond was set at $100,000.
