Not surprised and the article pretty much hits the nail on the head why OU was snubbed. It’s nothing more than a popularity contest and softball isn’t ever going to compete with football.
The season OUr gals blessed us with for a third consecutive national championship is nothing short of remarkable. A season like none before. Same goes for Jordy's performance imo.
No question about it. It’s been fun to watch. Hopefully, Patty finds a way to make history next season.
BTW, how is the construction coming on Love's Stadium? I think it's amazing that they can do this in one year, and frankly l'm a little skeptical.
Just the construction itself is a huge task. But then the creation of a new, safe, functional field is monumental in a year.

It's coming along as planned. Not much to see currently as it's mainly the dirt work. I can get some pics and send them your way if you'll give me an email address. Or I can see if 67 would post them.
As far as safe and functional, if you're referring to the turf, that stuff is all brought in as sod and because of the prep it doesn't take long to establish. They replaced the entire turf at the stadium after the U2 concert and had it ready for the next game. I know the turf guy.
Thanks. I just know you can't plant the grass until you finish the construction. And you have to get the soil properly prepared before you can plant the grass. When the rock concert comes, you already have the dirt base for planting. You'd have a hard time having that during contruction.

When the girls win 4 straight next year we'll see what the ESPYs do.
I'd feel a lot better about that if Jordy was still with us. But have all the faith in Natty Patty. I'm a football guy and laughed at the selection of the Chiefs and Mahomes. Espys are just a glamorous Hollywood popularity event obviously.
