I haven’t checked out any of the other sites that people gravitated towards during the transition. Are any remotely close to what Rupp Rafters used to be?

While we have some posters who should think a little more before hitting the "Post reply" button, I will take passion over apathy. That passion is what keeps us from fading away like Indiana and UCLA. That rising frustration is what puts pressure on those in control to make changes.

It's what made Cal take his sycophantic posse out of state. It's what put the "For Sale" sign in Tubby's yard. It's what compelled Cutler to run down Billy G. If you're a UK fan message boarder, you learn to embrace the insanity and ride the waves, even if you disagree with the takes.

Probably shock. This turned hard fast. It’s the nature of it when something like this happens so suddenly. All in a few days people are pretty sure Pope isn’t going to work. The reason is he’s going to lose the ability to recruit and when that happens it’s over. No matter how much we think he’ll catch with some time. Recruiting is the lifeblood and right now, Oats and Golden are sitting with final fours and a title showing what happened to their players when they left for Pope. Guys, I want Pope to work as bad as anyone here, but that’s not something you dig back from. Especially with the amount of time he’d need to do it.

I definitely don’t want to sound toxic and am not trying to contribute that that. Don’t mind admitting this flipped my switch and I said things I shouldn’t have said.

I want Mark to work here because we need him to. we need that Pitino era to watch over this place. But I’m not seeing a pathway right now. This isn’t just losing, this is a problrm that has some really devastating angles to it. It’s why Pope looks the way he looks. It’s nearly impossible to come back from it without a massive turnaround fast. And I can’t see that.

I’ll be backing him to turn it around fast. Not ready to throw the towel in and nobody else should either. We could be wrong and the issue isn’t as bad as it seems right now. It is the NIL era, multiple ways to fix it.

Lmao. Is that really him???
Cold Stout Beer was one of those guys who liked to argue but has a really tiny brain. So if anyone said something he didn’t like and it came to him having to think up a response —- he couldn’t. He would reply HAHAHAHAHA, get real angry, hurl an insult and tell them how he is putting them on ignore. He’s also lose his ******* mind over even the tiniest gripe about Pope. I knew something was up when i started seeing those things from “Monday Nitro” but I absolutely knew it was CSB when someone argued with him and his reply was “HAHAHAHA” and an insult. It’s him.

Guy is a total hypocrite. Constantly rags on every poster — he was so mean to dontworryaboutit23 or whatever his name was that it made me sick to my stomach. Any poster who didn’t walk the line exactly as he saw fit would get flooded with his crap all the time. All the while, he’d beat his chest and talk about how noble he is for supporting the coach. A lot of the people come on here to get away from jerks like that and talk about the ballgame.
He just loves the coaches at the school. He’s one of the fans that support the coach no matter what. I get why he likes pope. He’s a nice guy, and I know you’ll agree when I say I actually hope he’s right about him. I honestly don’t know what to think at this point. I hope he turns it around but I have seen some red flags that make me worry a lot

And you captured the feeling many of us have. Most of the people on the site want it to work with Pope. There are a few trolls, but most people are just upset. I don’t fault anyone for supporting Coach Pope.

I know Pope struck out on some of the portal guys he wanted last year but he was lucky he got the guys that he did. Most of those guys played hard every game last year. This team has some guys that aren’t giving an effort at all. Complete waste of talent if they aren’t going to play hard. I’d play the walk ons before I would a couple of those guys.

If he did what the rumor says, bro—-he needs kicked off the team. If you disagree fine, but it’s a pretty reasonable statement
Honestly, I'll say I really enjoyed your posting over the portal season, but I can see where some are coming from. It may be best to take a small step back and realize that not everyone needs to agree, and that those who disagree don't necessarily require a response. I'm guilty of this as well, especially when things aren't going well, like they are now. Just my hopefully constructive criticism.

I don’t mind you saying that. I also don’t think everyone needs to agree. I’m not the least bit offended by that. I don’t see anything wrong, though, with posting something here that people are already talking about. It’d be one thing if the Village Idiot came up with this, but you can quickly go look and see I didn’t…and people everywhere are having the conversation for a reason.

As far as my posting, I recently lost my job. I’m spending a little more time here than normal because my wife doesn’t want to talk ball all the time. So I’m spending it with y’all and enjoying it

This Cold Stout Beer aka Monday Nitro is the weakest dude I’ve ever seen in my life. The only thing the dude does is show up after losses and cry to every person who isn’t happy about the coaching and troll hunts. That’s literally it — never a single clever line, never anything unique to add, just:

“Coach is perfect and if you don’t agree, you’re a troll. Look at me, I don’t criticize the coach because I’m Mr. ******* Rogers”
That account was named GROMgousky before it changed to Nitro lol that should tell you who you're arguing with. Don't know why they can't do that from their regular account.

I got into it bad with that guy back in March. He’s a loose cannon, that’s when I heard he’s a long history of thinking he’s the internet bully on this site, so I’m not surprised

This isn't an airport. Announcing your departure is neither required nor desired!
He's trying to set a good example for others to follow. Unfortunately I am having far too much fun and my feels aren't affected by this stuff anymore.

I realize that there is a lot of pessimism and rightfully so, but goodness, some of the garbage being spewed around here is ridiculous. It’s as if some of you have an inside track into the mind of these players. So and so should be kicked off the team, so and so has no intentions of playing this year, blah blah blah. Am I worried? Absolutely. But I think I’ll wait a few more games to see if Pope can turn things around. I’m not giving up that easily, and I’m certainly not going to trash our players for things completely made up.

Are you familiar with the opposite of toxicity? It’s called toxic positivity, it’s when people aggressively push a point of view where everything is positive and wonderful. It’s basically sticking your head in the sand when things go downhill.

We have to look at the bigger picture here: the losses on their own don’t matter. It’s Pope’s vague responses and body language that exudes a lack of confidence in both himself and the team. It’s the rumors floating about the current players that are making everyone antsy. It’s missing out on virtually every top tier recruit with no real solution on how to absolve our recruiting problems despite having one of the highest NILs in the country.

Hell, even the losses are pretty painful considering both teams that won pretty much blew us out. Even the losses from last year are concerning considering it was mostly blowouts. Getting blown out by Alabama in the SEC tournament and then getting blown out by Tennessee a team you beat twice the same season does not inspire confidence.

Sometimes you have to accept when things are going wrong that there is probably no solution. I don’t think Pope has the ability nor experience to right this ship. As it stands I don’t think anything changes, and that terrifies me. Even more terrifying is possibly seeing this crap expand into next year. There are very real systemic problems with Pope’s tenure at Kentucky that I’m not sure he can figure out on his own.

I’ll pray for a miracle, but when you see your house on fire in front of you, you’re not going to pray the fire away. Someone has to extinguish the fire.

I’m with you 100% on everything except the little fact of Pope being underwater and doesn’t have the ability to fix it. ( Don’t get me wrong I’m very concerned if he can save this.) Let’s say even if it were true, Pope has a support circle around him that he can talk to that actually has knowledge of how to fix this or tell him the obvious things he needs to hear. Now the question is will he rip a bandaid off if he needs to, now that is a question I have.

There is absolutely time to fix it. Hope it happens, watched a podcast today where they pointed out Duke and Houston both lost games early last year —- not by seventeen —- but there’s time. If the locker room wants it bad enough and the coaches make the right adjustments, there isn’t a closed door out there just yet

While I may be overreacting to the doom direction I see us going in, I sure hope to eat every word I’ve said about this team recently. I’m sorry guy but it’s a new world we are living in and if you don’t stand up against what’s wrong then the evil is just gonna consume you too. It’s a message board and we are playing horrible. Players are getting PAID so they deserve every bit of the criticism. Pope has his dream job and gets PAID so he deserves criticism. If he doesn’t get control of this team nothings gonna change.

I’d say no. Not yet. It’s slowly coming up to the corner but hasn’t made it down the sidewalk.

You're not going to find a happy hardcore fan base after being absolutely dominated by anyone. Add to that that the same issues presented for the Gtown game and big stretches of the UL game and it's a concerning trend. God forbid the people discuss the program. 🙄

If you are correct, then why not start it off. A single snowflake starts a snowball, so be that snowflake and reveal yourself and start the movement to transparency.
I don't crap on the coach and players or salivate over rumors like a gossip hound, hence I said "nonsense". Reveal those that are big and bad and hide behind the PC to spew vomit. Bring it, big shot.
