As frustrating as this season has been you get the sense there is a good team here ready to break out. Lots of young talent trying to figure out how to close the deal and lots of heart. No one is quitting and they are fighting to the buzzer. I am excited about next year with what they are learning about playing in the BIG10 every week. Some depth at guard is developing. I think next year will be fun. Heck, this year has been fun, good home atmosphere vs Wisc. Illinois, some great road game play. Lets get over the hump and make some noise.

I think it’s a fine margin between winning and losing in the middle tier of the conference. A playmaker (shot maker) would be the difference between 2 wins and 5-6 wins right now.

Maybe we can get over the hump and win, say the last 3 conference games of the season! That would mean so much progress! Would set us up so well going into next season!

According to KenPom our average experience per player is 1.89 years. The D1 average is 1.87 years, so we’re neither young nor old and our best players are pretty experienced at this point. I don’t think there’s some big breakout in ability coming, they just have to finish games.

That's what I said last season. If they keep having the same problems every season then maybe they're not as close as I thought.

That was apparent all of last year. I am not so confident that one of the guys on the current roster will emerge as that guy, but yeah we have good rotational players.

Like Johnny Davis of Wisconsin who has come out of nowhere to be BIg Ten's MVP right now. Today, vs. Minnesota, with game tied at 60 and 1:30 to go, he proceeded to score the last six points in a 66-60 victory. Not only that but he corraled a key rebound off a missed shot by Crowl. That's yjr kind of difference maker this team is missing.

I'll add Keegan Murray to the out-of-nowhere list.

These games are simply 3 minutes too long. Men's basketball needs to convert to quarters like the women. Say 9 min and 30 second quarters. We're a tournament team if our games were only 37 minutes long!

Not good enough. We are 2-8 at the moment and need to flip the script the rest of the way and go 8-2 as the schedule is supposedly easier the rest of the way.

This was just the right amount of subtle, well done.
