Am I the only one that has watched this team and thinks they are absolutely awful???
This is the one of the most overhyped UCONN teams coming into a season I can ever remember.

They cannot play defense, they cannot rebound, the point guard play is hideous.
These 5th year seniors cannot play

From what I can tell this team will be lucky to make the tournament.............
Normally I wouldn't freak out about December basketball, but given the pitiful AAC they won't have many chances against quality teams to make an impression.

So far that impression stinks

I completely overrated them after the first few games against cupcakes. They can still get it together this year, but they need to start by playing with more toughness.

I can say with certainty now that the reason Stone chose MD over UConn had nothing to do with him being concerned about getting stuck behind Brimah.

Stone was pretty good last night but Trimble wasnt that great talent wise, we just were TERRIBLE on defense against him. He isnt quick yet he BLEW by us. Terrible defensive effort. For the second year in a row we are questioning the effort of our guys.....starts with Ollie, this is on him.......again.

The real problem is the defense and rebounding are not at UConn standards so far this year. I suppose part of that is effort. This team is not creating any offense with their defense and that is a real problem. Not sure exactly what UConn's stats are on transition baskets but it's not been happening. And the other thing is the consistent terrible starts now for 5 straight games including the Sacred Heart and Michigan games which were wins. Something is missing. Not sure if it's coaching in total or the players we recruited are soft. The team is lacking in muscle and in toughness from what I have seen so far. They have a long way to go to be anything more than an NCAA bubble team.
