I am interested in the MSU @ Washington matchup. I am not yet sold on MSU being a legit competitor for UM and PSU, but a win on Saturday on the road could change that. Former Indiana QB Michael Penix is now at UW and I have always liked him.
If ODU would beat UVA, after beating VT, what a statement it would be for Rhane with VA recruits.

ODU would win the Va Commonwealth Cup for best D-1 team in Va.

(I don't know if such a thing exists, but.....why not?)

“I am not yet sold on MSU being a legit competitor for UM and PSU”?? That’s a pretty arrogant comment from our end. Sparty has eaten PSU’s lunch as much as anyone during the Franklin era, including last year with the bludgeoning in the snow where everyone and their mother knew they were going to run the ball and PSU couldn’t stop it. The PSU offense couldn’t get anything going on their defense either. It was pathetic. If anything, it seems like Sparty has a pretty good handle on PSU and PSU is the one that needs to figure out how to turn the tables.

I don't think it's arrogant but rather a reflection of reality. You are completely correct that MSU has "eaten PSU's lunch" on occasion. But beating PSU on occasion and being a better program are completely different issues. I look at the last six years - granted that is a random timeframe but I am looking at when PSU began to come out of the sanctions. For six years PSU is a decisively better program. PSU is 53-22, good for 31 games over .500. The only losing season was the COVID year. In that same timeframe MSU is 40-31, nine games over .500, has had two losing years and two more where they went 7-6. We have split the past six games. MSU wins were by 3, 4 and 3. PSU's wins were by 33, 21 and 15. Depending on your perspective, their three wins were primarily the result of great coaching by MSU or terrible coaching by PSU, but either way, they won.
Back to my point, I consider PSU, UM and OSU legit Big 10 East contenders but I don't yet consider MSU to be there. But as I said, a win Saturday may make me rethink that as I think it is fair to wonder if their success last year was a one-year abberation with a bunch of grad transfers, or a true turnaround by Tucker.

The reality is that PSU is 11-11 in the last 2 years and we still don’t know if this team has what it takes to be a contender in the B1G East.

Yes. Counting the past two weeks. The fact remains, we still don’t know what kind of team PSU is, so talking down about Sparty seems a bit premature.
True, but there's other ways at looking at records. So we're also 13-6 in the last 19 games.

Helluva game you missed last year. If I recall correctly Sparty pulled out the win in the final few minutes on something like 3rd and 19.

Why did the ncaa grant players another year of eligibility after the Covid year? Because it was a trash year that didn't count. I don't care what Franklin's record was that year.

Whew, I thought this was gonna be about your dating exploits.
I thought it was going to be about ‘ro getting mistaken for a caddie during his Friday golf round….because, well you know, he’s venturing into Dixie.🙄

PSU’s DL hasn’t been impressive. It either gets exposed this week or against the run-oriented teams in the B1G.

How great would that be for ODU! The only prediction that is way off IMO is the Notre Dame score(TIC)

If it looks anything like the Land Grant Trophy, I see them throwing a game so they don't have to take it.
