Whats the gameplan, coach?
Here's how to beat PurdueGet ready to rumble! We got this all day! Watch out for Ryan Young too!
That is just not fair.they have the following 3 pt percentages:
---------------------------------------
- Ivey - 40.0%
- Stefanovic - 41.1%
- Gillis - 45.0%
- Hunter Jr - 44.4%
- Thompson - 41.6%
- Furst - 42.9%
- Morton - 45.8%
- Team - 40.5%
Sometimes seasonal #s can be deceiving. Lately, Purdue has been bad from 3 range & very tired. As of Monday, Purdue played more (15) conference games than any other team. And in total games this season, as many as anybody else. I've been a Purdue fan for over 50 years. That is just not fair.
I have a suggestion on how to beat you. Score more points than youSometimes seasonal #s can be deceiving. Lately, Purdue has been bad from 3 range & very tired. Want to beat them tonight?
1. Full court press them, a LOT/early & often.
2. Double Edey & Williams, early & often.
3. Make more 3s then them.
I like Painter a lot as our coach, but the full court press was our downfall the last two years, & continues to be.
A final sign/portent of things to come. Pregame warmups/shoot a round vs MD., you could see Purdue looked very tired, & their shots weren't going in. If you see that in them in tonight's warm up/shoot a round, RIP Boilers. Yep. '10 deep', but the starters are the MOST tired. Get THEM in foul trouble early, & defeat the weaker second five more easily.

If we unleash the Nicholbomb on Zach Edey and beat him like a red-headed rented step-donkey, the shock and awe of our third center could demoralize the entire Purdue squad. That, coupled with the thunderous cacophony of delirious NU students seeking free ChickFilA as the Boilers gator arm a multitude of free throws, might enable us to squeak out a 12-point loss.Sometimes seasonal #s can be deceiving. Hope is not a strategy. You're overlooking another good plan = hope them to fewer points than we scored.
I have a suggestion on how to beat you. Score more points than you
The teams who allow less points than the opponents will advance. You heard it here firstListen closely, everyone is tired now. Notice the shots you miss most when tired, are three pointers (see IL. vs Rutgers, BTN). The teams who can now (successfully) combine their midrange game (15' & in) with an effective low post game, will advance now, & through the coming tournaments.

If you want to beat the ('big') man, you must take it at/to the big man. Best way to get Edey & Williams in early foul trouble, take it right at them, guards, forwards & centers. Often your 3s that were falling in the first half, aren't in the second. The teams who allow less points than the opponents will advance. You heard it here first
IL. has the best group of guards in the conference. How they doing on 3 shooting tonight? Rutgers has their midrange game going strong tonight. Btw, that opens up the inside/low post & 3 pt. game even more.Edey and Williams will be so attacked that at half time they will claim to have diarrhea and not return for the 2nd half
