Will not play his first game until week 4, so he will miss Loyola, but what can you do. 1 of 20 players in the nation to make this team, you don't pass it up to play Taft and Lane Tech....even Loyola! Congrats Alek!
I don't believe that there is any pressure from the MC staff or community to play football. I believe he truly enjoys playing the sport. I seem to recall that when he committed to TCU it was because he was going to get the chance to play football as well as baseball. There is not way I'd let him play football again if he's a top 50 pick in the MLB draft. And if the MC faithful are realistic they would let him free of the pressure to play when he gets back. He would do more for MC as an alumni if he makes a major league roster down the road

He loves playing football, as stated above, MC does not pressure him. His scholarship at TCU is for Baseball and Football, if he goes pro and God forbid it doesn't work out, he can do a Chris Weinke and use the football ride.If he gets drafted in the first two rounds he may not be going to TCU. If he goes later than the 10th round then TCU would be in order. If MC wins w/o him no pressure. But if his replacement falls short he will feel pressure maybe not directly but it will be there.
