Sorry if I missed it or if this OF brain just forgot, but did Thornton decide on a school?

In the continental United States, I'm fairly certain that there are no two schools with a further distance than between Miami and Washington - at least in terms of Division 1 schools. Obviously Hawaii would beat that, but Hawaii would never be an option for Thornton.

Why not Hawaii? They already have a point guard and he can't be guaranteed 90 minutes per game?

I'm sure Hawaii appeals to many recruits, but not to former 5-star recruits that want to showcase their talents on national television and have a chance to compete for a title. Hawaii was a very competitive team this year, though, no doubt. Bobbitt was a senior and Jankoivc signed with an agent, so I expect a huge drop from them next season. Thornton will get playing time wherever he goes. I think most are thinking he ends up at USC, but you never know.

According to google maps, U of Miami to University of Washington is 49 hours (45 w/o traffic). BC-San Diego State is 44 hours. Miami to Oregon is 49 hours as well - but 46 hours w/o traffic. So I suppose Duck school to Duck school is actually the longest.

I like the dig.

Not taking any shots at Derryck, but it is far past time to stop worrying about what he is doing. He made his decision and we should be worried about the players who chose to be part of this program.

At this point Tyler Thornton is the only Thornton we should be worried about.

Listen....I wish the best for Derryck going forward. He's very talented and I'm sure he'll have a nice career wherever he ends up. That said, and don't take this the wrong way, but I really don't have much of a vested interest in him anymore.

This has been on my mind for a while now and I wasn't gonna even post anything about it since the decisions already been made to leave Duke by DT and go elsewhere which it don't really matter where he goes. I really don't care where he goes. But the thought came into my mind that if he could take it all back does he regret the decision. More than likely not since family was involved but in his thoughts I just wonder. OFC

I hope he regrets it next April.

By the way, the only way he ever makes a final four or has a chance at winning a national championship is if he goes to Kansas (out of his final four schools). And I don't think he chooses KU.
