what are your guys thoughts on that team up in Lincolnshire? Have heard nothing but good things about them. They beat one of the supposed best teams in Michigan full of "D1" talent at an out of state stadium on a Saturday After a long bus ride, they controlled that game against palatine but shot themselves in the foot a couple times with turnovers and still almost tied it at the end, and took care of business against Lake Forest. I think this team could definitely be a dark horse in 8A come playoff time. I don't know why no one is talking about them. It doesn't really look like they'll have much of a problem with the rest of their conference season. With the amount of size and speed they have on the outside and with that oconnel kid slinging the ball, and a defense that's good enough to complement the explosive offense, watch out.

Welcome Sguy! Your right people should be talking about Stevenson! They are a perennial power, but I think it's just that people expect them to be good every year. The win up in Michigan is very impressive.
But As you say in your post - they don't have a lot of tough marquee games left on their schedule (they shouldn't have "much of a problem with their remaining conference schedule"). I know Stevie can only play who they have on their schedule so the scheduling of a tough out of state non con game was a very good call! Kudos to your schedulers.
At the end of the month when your Patriots play Libertyville and the following week Lake Zurich - I think you will see a lot more buzz and talk on Stevenson!!

I think they finish 8-1 and will be one of the many 8A contenders.
I think when Stevenson plays LZ they could both be 5-1. Not 100% convinced about Stevie's defense going forward. To be a contender I believe you need a very good defense or you will get tripped up along the way.
