Thoughts on Class 8A for the 2018 season

Maine South in the semis again, and I think Hinsdale Central breaks through finally getting at least to the quarters.
I'd like to see Downstate Edwardsville get to the finals. They have their all-state QB back and more running backs than needed. Tall kids to catch the ball ... but I do not know about the Bubbas up front.

There is a 0% chance Rice makes the semis. They will be improved forsure but i still believe they will lose quite a few games. I predict Crusaders to go 5-4 MAYBE 6-3. Week 1 could say alot.
Until proven otherwise, everything in 8A starts with Lincoln-Way East and Loyola. Those are the teams to beat. I think Glenbard West - if the Hitters stay in 8A - could make a run to the semis. Homewood-Flossmoor is young but ridiculously talented enough to gain the semis as well. Also look out for Marist, Hinsdale Central, Maine South, and New Trier.
