Just find it odd to pass up a chance to visit the White House as a Champion. You won a sports title. Just don't view it as a political platform. I sure would go just out of respect to the White House. Makes me less a pro sports fan.

I bet the Eagles have some nice dress socks when they go to big events like this. I wonder what brand they use?

It’s a life-changer for most Americans. Not sure if we’ll ever be able to continue as a society until the Iggles and der Fuhrer put their differences aside and come together for photos and handshakes.

While the Eagles are often one of America's favorite bands, I absolutely hate them. Good thing for them Springsteen exist.

They can give me the invite instead. I don't care who the President is that is doing the inviting. It would still be an honor to me to be invited by the POTUS and get a tour of the White House. I don't have to like the man in charge, but I can still respect the situation.

Nobody wanted to come to my party, so I cancelled it, is my take away.

It's really not a big deal, just shows how petty ole dude is.

Various athletes didn't attend various functions under Bush II and Obama for political reasons. Neither ex-POTUS canceled the **** because handling criticism and understanding dissent are a part of that job this dude can't grasp.

If a predominately white hockey team had opted out of a visit while Obama was president I have no doubt it would be received similarly. Nothing to see here

If Obama called them Sons of hosers and said they had to sing oh Canada and that their protests against Mountie assault insulted the troops and had a history of marking rental applications with a maple leaf so as not to rent apartments to them, you would almost have a point.

It doesn't matter who the president is, I'd rather go to Disney World. And to be honest, I would rather go to Cedar Point than to Disney World. Better rides from what I hear.

Outrage is always there when you’re looking for it, the media just didn’t like the election results and have tried to spin all of Trump voters as racist. Then they dig up every petty thing to outrage their party. Things didn’t go your way then pull the card, the liberal way. My point is 100% valid and even you know it, fake racism from the left.

I was really looking forward to several of them taking a knee in the White House when they played the National Anthem before the ceremony. Now I'll have to wait all the way until August and the first exhibition game to enjoy that spectacle.

There was a one brave hero (or man tired of standing) who took a knee against tyranny...

I'm guessing that guy couldn't support his girth through a typical round of political blather. A White House political rally is no place for a guy with his waistline.
He was worn out from singing that sick Trump remix "Hmmm mmmm hmmmmm Hmmm to the hmmmmm hmmmmm GOD BLESS AMERICA, hm hmmm hmm hmmmmm".

With all the problems in the world, this is the main headline? Not sure I could care less what a bunch of prima donna rich football players from a **** product like the NFL think on this issue. Just play the game. Same goes for our petulant 5 year old President. Just do your job.

With each president moving forward we'll probably see more and more of this as our culture gets more politically driven. The reason it's a story is because, once again Trump rescinds an invite once the majority of the team has decided not to attend. Trump has plenty on his plate, he just needs to let stuff like this slide and it won't be a headline. Plus the fact that press release and SHS's response for this had some inaccurate statement about the Eagles letting their fans down by not going to the White House. I'm sure lunatic Philly fans are really up in arms today about their Iggles not making the trip. Trump's team needs to learn to pick their battles a little better, as some of his tribe would and should call this story a "nothingburger".

No one was up in arms when Tom Brady didn’t visit the White House when Obama was in office. This is much adieu about nothing. No one is obligated to accept the presidents invitation.

One person versus almost entire teams is not similar, did one eagle refuse to go? If just one did then you have a point.

Also Brady had a scheduling conflict, again not similar with the eagles or anyone else.
