Thoughts on Mullen

I find it a little ironic that the same day that the Penn State search committe is annouced word starts flowing about Mullen headed to Happy Valley. This week and throughout the weekend is going to be a lot of fun especially tomorrow with Mullen's Press conference. I would pay very close attention to what he says, while he will deny the reports listen to how he will word his answers, guy is media savy and he has had all day to put the pieces together for his statement.

I can assure you guys of one thing, the LAST school Ole Miss wants to compete with right now for a HC is us, the main reason being the trainwreck that they are trying to sell. Hud is smart , no doubt he wants the OM job if offered, but he knows that when Mullen leaves our job is a lot more attractive. One more thing to think about, if Hud gets the OM job (not convinced its the shoe in as some think) dont worry, we have the leadership to get a great HC. I would also bet that the next HC at MSU will have HC experice if its not Hud

Though I think MSU is likely the only school in the SEC where Mike Leach would be a cultural fit -- an underdog school without the elitist attitude in athletics or academics. (Remember, most of Leach's QBs at Texas Tech were about as good as Dylan Favre)
