Thoughts on Temple game?

Never underestimate any opponent.

I do want to see us really win this game going away simply because of all the Temple guys in the Philly sports (radio) media who openly despise all things PSU.
Who in particular from the media?

Being disrespectful to is not cool.
Way past worrying about what you think or being cool. Just carrying on a longstanding tradition established during the "Franklin Era" by loyal members of the BWICAC that still frequent here,
By the way, I've heard media types use this very term.
Is it disrespectful to assert that PSU has 9 (perhaps 10) games against teams "without a pulse?"

The only thing good ever to come out of Temple was Tre Johnson. Google him.

Harry Litwack in the sixties. John Baum, Eddie Mast. Dang, the Big 5 in the sixties and seventies, that was bliss.
The NCAA needs to let them throw streamers again.

I did list Milkvy who was there long before Chaney and even Litwack.

About the streamers, this one time Temple was playing Penn at the Palestra and when the Owls scored their first points the streamers came out, technical foul on Temple, free throws for Penn. The Penn player steps up to the line, steps on the foul line and shoots. He’s on the line, so no points.

Another time Penn and Temple found themselves playing at the same NCAA regional, not against each other, Penn’s game immediately follows Temple’s. Temple loses a heartbreaker and afterwards the Temple cheerleaders immediately compose themselves and start “Let’s Go Quakers!! Clap clap clap clap clap.” ❤️

Philly media is filled with me.bers of the temple cult.

John Kincaid and rhea Hughes ae a few of the many who were ripping psu handling of sandusky as they were looking the other way with cosby.
Those Philly/Temple guys have enough issues to worry about then attacking PSU.

A few storylines to follow:
-Former PSU QB Jaxon Smollick is Temple's starting QB
-Former PSU DT Kaleb Artis either starts or is first DT off bench for Temple

For PSU it's first road game under HCMC. Let's see how they respond
-Will Burkle (TE) and Tatsch (LBer) get some PT as they recover? How about Jeremiah Cooper, more PT?
Does Nick Soriani (Eagles HC) make an appearance on the sidelines to encourage his former MOUNT UNION College teamate, Matt Campbell?
Homecoming for PSU players Cam Smith (St. Joe's Prep) and Jackson Fird (Malvern Prep)

I expect Temple to be a step up in competition from Marshall. I can't get PSU's last visit to the LINC against Temple - disasterous.

Your thoughts?
Now that is very 'cool'.

Wisconsin was pretty much outclassed by Notre Dame, they had a chance to win only if they played mistake-free football. How this relates to PSU I got no idea.
Well my guess would be that Wisky doesn’t have as much talent as Penn State and thus should win.

Wisky was disappointing. I was hoping that they could pull the upset. A W over a team that beat ND would have enhanced PSU’S SOS and resume. Now they are just another team on the schedule "without a pulse."
Well I agree Wisky was disappointing but I still think they have more talent than our first three opponents.

I agree that Wisconsin will be perceived as a relatively weak opponent. They will likely be 2-1 when we play them but their 2 wins will be vs weak opponents. Voters will look at the final score vs ND and see a blowout but the game was very close in the first half.

That said I don't think PSU is a lock over Wisconsin because they have a lot of strength at the LOS and this will be the first time PSU faces a team that physical. That's why I was happy to see how well Cooper and Ebel performed. I think they can help make up for any weakness we have at DT. That makes me optimistic about our chances vs Wisconsin because we definitely have more offense than they do. I still want to see how PSU holds up against their physicality.

Apparently it is a complete and utter embarrassment to the university and program that we are playing them according to some "fans of Penn State football" that post on this board.
Bro, getting fired up over the sister Mary poor part of the schedule feels cult dedication and is a weird look.
