I was going to buy 4 clubs , but got told we are off to Manhattan for dinner with my son . 4 clubs were cheaper than dinner and a hotel .
1 and gf are spending the w end in nyc, he said it’s stupid $. Where are you eating, I’ll send them by. Super charming and worldly, you’d dig them the most. 1 has moms engagement ring from 1988 in his pocket, anything could kick off

Wait a minute. #1 and his soon-to-be fiancé (unless she says "no") are headed off to NYC and you're responsible for moving bed furniture into his new residence?

So you just wait until you return from NYC to buy the new clubs. Come Monday, your wife is still ecstatic over seeing your son and won't mind if you buy a new whole custom set.

Who likes Go State beat Temple?
I enjoy all the games, especially when we win. We’ve played some cupcakes every season since I’ve been a fan and that’s a long time, so I’m not sure why it’s such a problem now.

There are a couple of reasons- it's pro football now. Big salaries, big money spent on stadiums, we need
BIG GAMES.

And as we've been told here time and time again, winning 10 games is no accomplishment, only BIG GAMES count.

We don’t need big games since we’re in a conference….we need to win games. Even this year, without playing Indiana, OSU or Oregon, if we win the games against Michigan, Washington and USC, we’ll be in the CFP. The fans want big games, but that doesn’t mean we need them.

If we go 10-2 that might not be good enough to be the 4th BiG team to make the playoffs.

OSU and Oregon are likely a lock so the question is who are the other two teams? Indiana, USC, Washington, Michigan, and PSU are the most likely candidates for the other two spots. If PSU finishes 10-2 might not be seen as strong as other teams who also finish 10-2 but against a tougher schedule.

Not Temple/PSU related, but Miami should call off the dogs on FAMU. Don't score 100 points. No one wants that.

I will be attending this “away game.” I think Temple is the toughest opponent of the ooc schedule. Similar to Marshall in that they have a much better offense than they do defense. I would guess we similarly get around 45 points but we could give up a few scores. It is a veteran OL, so it’ll be valuable experience for our new DL.
Temple starting LT hurt and out for 6 weeks. LG and RT are game time decisions, to play or not. Their Oline might not be so strong as advertised.

Of psu goes 10-2 they will probably be in the playoffs.

Only 3 teams in the big went 10-2 or better last year. Your favorites are not all winning g 10 games. Some of those teams play 5 others on the list. They knock each other out.

Ehhh--I don't think Temple is much better (or even better) than Marshall. They at least got a warm up game against Rhode Island to prepare for us unlike Marshall but I'm expecting it to look very similar. Score will likely be a little closer but all Penn State.

I'm just looking for to the start of Big Ten play--just win and avoid injuries. I don't care if that win is 3-2.

I don't know. Beating Temple 3-2 would be almost as bad as losing to Iowa 6-4.

A few storylines to follow:
-Former PSU QB Jaxon Smollick is Temple's starting QB
-Former PSU DT Kaleb Artis either starts or is first DT off bench for Temple

For PSU it's first road game under HCMC. Let's see how they respond
-Will Burkle (TE) and Tatsch (LBer) get some PT as they recover? How about Jeremiah Cooper, more PT?
Does Nick Soriani (Eagles HC) make an appearance on the sidelines to encourage his former MOUNT UNION College teamate, Matt Campbell?
Homecoming for PSU players Cam Smith (St. Joe's Prep) and Jackson Fird (Malvern Prep)

I expect Temple to be a step up in competition from Marshall. I can't get PSU's last visit to the LINC against Temple - disasterous.

Your thoughts?
Take care of business early, get the starters out of the game and build depth with the 2’s and 3’s.

FYI - there are rumors that Granville suffered an injury in practice this week. Nothing official yet - hope it’s nothing serious. This guy has rotten luck.
