What impact did the loss of Tony Elliot have on Clemson football?
It's obvious it means very little to nothing!Personally, I don't think who wins or loses bowl games means anything anymore. Teams are completely different by the time the bowl is played.

Seems SEC expansion has diluted things. Parity within the conference means less dominance outside. My thoughts are that the SEC is off to a disgraceful start in the undercard season, that the BiG is dominating the undercard season and that the B1G will win the national championship for the third year in a row. In that case, the B1G will be rightly and indisputably considered the top football conference in America. The thought sickens me.
There is a very good chance the championship game will be between 2 B1G teams this year.My thoughts are that the SEC is off to a disgraceful start in the undercard season, that the BiG is dominating the undercard season and that the B1G will win the national championship for the third year in a row. The SEC has sunk to insignificance with the retirement of Nick Saban, NIL's leveling impact at the top of the sport, and coaching instability at important SEC football schools. The preeminence is gone. We aren't much, if any, better than the Big 12.There is a very good chance the championship game will be between 2 B1G teams this year.
Could very well be UGA/Bama Pt. 3 as well. There is a very good chance the championship game will be between 2 B1G teams this year.
I'd say the B1G and SEC are about equal at the very top, UGA/Bama/Ole Miss vs. Ohio State/Oregon/Indiana. After the top teams, both conferences are full of good(ish) and mediocre teams. The SEC has sunk to insignificance with the retirement of Nick Saban, NIL's leveling impact at the top of the sport, and coaching instability at important SEC football schools. UGA a possibility (but I doubt they could get past OSU), I don't think Bama could get past Indy or Oregon/TTUCould very well be UGA/Bama Pt. 3 as well.
I have no doubt Indiana is the better team. Bama better gird their loins.UGA a possibility (but I doubt they could get past OSU), I don't think Bama could get past Indy or Oregon/TTU
Alabama is talented but not as talented as they were and subject to break down in a given game on either side of the ball.UGA a possibility (but I doubt they could get past OSU), I don't think Bama could get past Indy or Oregon/TTU
I wish that would happen, but the shock of it might bring about the cardiac event that takes me into the next realm.Could very well be UGA/Bama Pt. 3 as well.
OSU looked great against a pillow soft B1G schedule until they faced a team with a real defense in the conference championship game.UGA a possibility (but I doubt they could get past OSU), I don't think Bama could get past Indy or Oregon/TTU
As much as I dislike TN, I strongly despise BielemaTennessee goes down to Illinois - another SEC ignominy.
I believe the B1G has won every bowl it has played this year; the SEC has won none unless one has slipped by me. It's a debacle in the making. As much as I dislike TN, I strongly despise Bielema
2-5, 0-4 vs P4 teams.I believe the B1G has won every bowl it has played this year; the SEC has won none unless one has slipped by me. It's a debacle in the making.
The first one doesn't count an any way that matters. Vandy just lost to Iowa. The disaster becomes more disparaging with every passing day. There's only one avenue remaining to SEC redemption. Redemption isn't likely. The SEC is no longer excellent, let alone the best.2-5, 0-4 vs P4 teams.
2 wins = Bama vs OK (yeah, I know, eating your own), and Ole Miss vs Tulane.
When one league rules another, it means something somehow.Due to opt outs, portal outs, and interim coaches all non-CFP bowl game results are meaningless.

Excuses, and being dismissive does not change the fact or narrative that the SEC bowl record so far is nothing short of dismalDue to opt outs, portal outs, and interim coaches all non-CFP bowl game results are meaningless.
Because it would be.In all honesty, if we were dominating so far, like the B10 is, I'm pretty sure we'd argue that it was important.
Oh, dismal ain't even a good down payment on how bad it is.Excuses, and being dismissive does not change the fact or narrative that the SEC bowl record so far is nothing short of dismal
