Yes he did. And it is a crime, no doubt. Trumplethinskin said that this event has changed his perspective on Syria. Has he not been paying attention over the last few years? Did he not know that Syria has gassed its citizens many times before? Did he not know that they've been committing crimes against their people for decades? Really? This event changed him? It's almost ludicrous to think he's that ill-informed. If he is, it's pretty sad. If he isn't, then I'd question his motives. Btw, Obama went to Congress for approval on attacking Syria and Congress refused to commit. Congress should've approved this.

The attacks were horrible....the regime is horrible....there are many more around the world! Blowing **** up isn't the end all. We took a rook....President's have to think about the whole board. What are the next moves??
Maybe it was done to help his numbers (even though the polls are obvi FAKE NEWS), but I really dgaf. We needed to do something and I think this was a good start. Trump may be CIC, but let's not fool ourselves. Mattis is definitely running that show.
Who knows - maybe he will start doing other correct actions when his polls are down.

When someone becomes President a whole new world is opened up to them. I know you are aware of this. Compared to pre-election he was ill-informed. My guess is that seeing it first hand changed his opinion and he himself said as much. I'll back him on this until he sends in ground troops.
He was definitely THAT ill-informed. But now that we see Biff can really be trained, the look on his face when he realizes science exists will be astonishing.
Anyone paying attention has seen photos of gassed Syrians in the past including children. But these latest photos changed Trump. SMH
Would it be shocking to learn he really wasn't paying much attention to Syria in the past? Or maybe his DOD changed his mind? I still fail to see a reason to care. There has been and will be many, many more reasons to pile on Trump, but I think this is barking up the wrong tree.
Plus it's hysterical to see all the Alt-Righters losing their mind over this.
The Trump admin stepped on their wiener the other day by stating we'd let the Syrian people decide what happens to Assad and signaled that we wouldn't work actively to depose him. For the gas attack to happen that closely after the admin declaration makes it look like Assad felt like he had the green light to do what he wanted. Trump may have felt indirectly responsible for the gas attack because of that and felt the need to respond. His response really has nothing to do with putting Assad out of power but at least DT let them know that using WMDs is not cool at all also Trump made his own crossing lines statement so had to back it up. It will be interesting to watch and see how this plays out now as Russia was made to look like fools for not making sure that Syria got rid of their gas weapons as agreed upon during BO's tenure and because the couldn't protect Syria from attack.

Agree, he got this one right (even though he had to do a 180 from the past). Obviously he has listened to top military brass.
