Here’s a story from Michael O’Brien of the Sun-Times that says Illinois pulled THT’s offer! It was all about an AAU ball controversy — THT left the Mac Irvin Fire (Ayo’s Team) for Team Rose this year. O’Brien thinks the Simeon pipeline to Illinois is now shut off.
Crazy.
Why THT didn't commit to Illinois
This is juicy entertaining stuff. I wonder if Iowa State plays Illannoys in the near future. Oh wait, Ayo is one and done so doesn't matter... right?
THT will probably make a bigger contribution to ISU than Ayo to the Lovie's. Even if Ayo is great, he will look to the league as soon as reasonable possible.
You know it's bad when recruits are telling you who else you can/can't recruit...
Or AAU power brokers. Amazing s lot of their faithful are defending these actions.
It's hard to blame the 16- and 17-year-olds. This whole dirty AAU thing is such a blatant power trip.
It could have been stopped if BU just said FU to MIF. We will recruit and accept who we want to recruit. Nope, the pansie, said ok MIF, we need your pipeline in upcoming years, see ya THT. BU continues to show his stripes and demonstrates he will go to extreme lengths in recruiting. They may not be against NCAA bylaws, but they lack any ethics in their dealings. They caved!
And it was the absolute highlight of your season. Your program has fallen so low that beating jNW is a reason to celebrate and gloat. Congrats.
But hey, you guys will return to normal form. You just need to sleep with a few more AAU coaches and screw over a few more high school kids. Anything for a few more wins, amirite?

Then got beat in the NIT. For your sake, hope the Fighting Undies, are better than the Fighting Lovies. Not sure how they can’t be when they are in bed with AAU power brokers. Have a nice day Barney.
