Maybe something will actually come out of this after all, the Knoxville Police Dept probably won't have much influence in Nashville.

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...nessees-request-to-move-lawsuit-to-knoxville/

I can't wait to see the plaintiff's attorneys prove that the AD's spokesman is a bald faced liar, proven by him saying athletes aren't treated any different than other students after the eight thugs kicking the two victims into the hospital with NO charges or punishment by either the KPD or the University.

Now comes word the KPD chief and Jones had 4 phone conversations, something called "professional courtesy" by the chief, the day arrests were made of 2 rapists in '14. Professional courtesy? Really?

The first call listed on Jones' phone records for that day was a call from Sam Brown, KPD liaison to the UT football team.

So the Knoxville Police Department has found it necessary to have an officer directly assigned to the UT football team? good lordo_O
Truth is often stranger than fiction...

Something that may not be in UT's favor this time is that it's the FBI poking around, not the NCAA. They have much more power (subpoena, warrants, etc.) to get info than the NCAA has. That said, I would be surprised if anything significant happens to UT - they are hell-bent on becoming relevant again, whatever it takes.

We've already tried that approach (Curci, Bassett).

Yes, but I think the two individuals were responsible for that, although in both cases UK was the one that paid and paid dearly-------overall both times it was harmful to our program in the long run, unlike TU that has cheated for years (Orange Pride? for instance) and UL, bending every rule possible. But then I think UK was rank amateurs and both those programs have had plenty of practice.

Sure, if you want to go back that far.....but as long as Mitch and maybe more importantly, Sandy Bell and team are here, I think we will have just about the cleanest program around. Although again, some of our fans think we need to be more like Little Brothel and Tom Jurich.

Nice link, thanks.

At the time of the eight thugs assaulting the two men (separate incidents in the same night) that was covered up and mostly forgotten I wondered why the citizens of Knoxville didn't protest TU importing thugs to play for them, endangering their lives. But NO protests, NO charges, not even by the off duty policeman that was assaulted, (in my football officials association you were kicked out of the association if you didn't press charges against anyone that tried to harm you in any way), they have no problem giving a ticket for ten miles over the limit but think it is ok to kick people while down and send them to the hospital? No charges by the KPD, the DA, OR Thug U, ONE player suspended for the 52-0 opener.

Neither victim sued anyone or pressed any charges??? But then maybe they are driving a new car or have a new job, or have to live in Knoxville, remember the woman who "snitched" on the starting QB vandalizing the car, who later had her car vandalized by "unknown persons", while the QB essentially confessed but escaped prosecution by paying for the damages to the car he vandalized, funny law there------alas, I don't think there was any help for the responsible citizen that had her car vandalized.

This was a VERY important decision in this case.

So now maybe the thugs lack of punishment will come back to haunt TU, this incident will PROVE that Hart was lying though his teeth when he said athletes were treated like any other student at their athletic factory.

And I think the prostitution at UL (maybe hurtt suggested it, worked at the U) is just the beginning of their problems also, maybe the NCAA will wonder if their perfect APR wasn't arrived at similar to UNC's great record. But, just win baby, and it looks like the NCAA is going to let Ole Roy hang another banner from their rafters.

After all, the NCAA is a joke.

I have attorney friend in Nashville that is familiar with case. He thinks it is going to be a big deal, a major deal that heads will roll. I think the Univ. pres. is gone, Chancellor, Dave Hart, and Butch Jones. This is going to be as ugly as UL when all is said and done, cover ups, women's programs with a lot at stake, FBI/TBI, police, university things that will come out that are humongous and embarrassing.
Bowles statement is believable, timeline and what he has done in sworn statements backs his claims about the phone call. Subpoena power is huge.

I think both UL and UNC are going to get bent over and heads will roll, UNC will have this championship but I thin the outcry will be big or UL will take a bigger hit due to UNC being able to lie.

IMO

Not that I doubt you, but I will be surprised if anything significant comes about for UT, UL or UNC. The NCAA is a toothless tiger. UT may be the one at most risk as it is the FBI investigating them, not the NCAA.

Bowles statement is very believable, and Hart's statement that players are treated the same as everyone else at TU is hilarious in light of the the EIGHT thugs kicking TWO men while down with NOTHING of consequence coming of it.

Try that yourself sometime and see where you end up------not to mention the lawsuits.

So UofL has hookers, UNC has fake classes, and UT doesn't charge rapists or others for violent crime?[/QUOTE

The ncaa will let Louisville, Tennessee off so they can let North Carolina go free, the only one suffer was Syracuse.

The term "Thug U" is thrown around so much that I had to click on the link to figure out what school was involved.

UT is pure trash.

Literally nothing they, and their enabling fanbase, won't do to succeed.

Wouldn't let a female family member or friend go there if I could help it even if they got free tuition...

Ironically one of my friends who is a girl actually got full tuition offer at Thug. She told me that and was extremely excited I told her about these recent cases and she then said nevermind I'm not going there.

Once the FBI actually does something about Hillary Clinton...I might be worried. Add to the fact that the Bureau (well, Loretta Lynch) has dragged its feet about seeking the death penalty for an open and shut mass murder case (Dylan Roof here in Charleston), don't pin y'alls hope on the feds. Just sayin'.

Interesting take on the phone calls by someone that makes some good points.

http://www.sbnation.com/college-foo...nessee-volunteers-football-butch-jones-police

But then I'm not sure that is as bad as the OIC in the eight thugs case not collecting the video until the next morning when they turned out to be "defective"------especially since the owner was letting the players in without paying the cover charge, but that is another violation.
