It's after midnight so I can start this thread now and have it count for Thursday.

It's not something I learned directly but instead discovered just by investigating. Only one POTUS elected in the last 100 years both (a) had at least one son and (b) did not have a son named after himself. If you want to guess then guess now....

Trump - Has a son named after him.

Obama - Has only girls.

GHW Bush - Has only girls.

Clinton - Has only a girl (that we know of).

GH Bush - Has a son named after him.

Reagan - Has a son named after him.

Carter - Has a son named after him.

Ford - Has multiple sons and none were named after him...but he was not elected POTUS!

Nixon - Had only daughters.

Johnson - Had only daughters.

Kennedy - Had a son named after him.

Eisenhower - BINGO! Eisenhower had two sons. One was named Doud and he died when he was 3-4 years old from scarlet fever (that he contracted from a nanny the Eisenhower's hired and they felt mucho guilt for it afterwards). And Eisenhower's other son was John, who begat David (Eisenhower's grandson), who married Richard Nixon's daughter Julie. Eisenhower has only one 3rd generation (after him) offspring bearing the name Eisenhower and it's David & Julie Nixon Eisenhower's son Alexander. As you may already know, Camp David was named after David Eisenhower.

Continuing the list, Truman had only a daughter.

FDR - Had a son named after him.

Hoover - Had a son named after him.

Coolidge - Had a son named after him.

Harding - Had only daughters.

Wilson - Had only daughters.

Taft - Bingo #2 but it's been more than 100 years since he was POTUS. He had two sons but neither was named after him.

Teddy Roosevelt - Had a son named after him.

McKinley - Had only daughters.

And I looked some before 1900 and it seems naming your sons after you wasn't as common then so I stopped.
