from watching some of the coaches interviews he seems like the type that would do this.

WSP may have something to do with how Murphy is playing. Face it WSP has way faster athletes. That speed is probably giving Murphy fits. I'm sure Murphy's brawn is giving WSP trouble as well. Styles make fights.
Of course they have better athletes, way better athletes overall, but so did Life Christian and Christ School. The point is despite their athlete advantage this was far from the best Murphy could've played defensively.

East wasn’t really trying to run it up. I was there. Starmount’s QB threw more passes to East Surry players than the East QB.
As a fan we only watch the games. Murphy has great playoff experience..Easy for teenagers to believe their own hype perhaps...and think way lesser of some of the teams they face...for. whatever reason. Then reality sets in once the whistle blows. Guarantee ya none of us flatlanders are surprised at all by the high scoring close game.
If the starters are throwing passes with a running clock, it absolutely is running the score up.
In the second half, most of those “passes” were hand offs in front of the QB. They might have only dropped back to throw down field 2 times the whole half. As a Starmount fan, I didn’t get the impression that East was doing anything wrong. Starmount just couldn’t figure out which color jersey to throw to.
Is there some kind of rule that states if your opponent can't stop you that you have have pity on them. If the opposing team feels like they are being disrespected maybe it might motivate them to get better. This running the score up crap is ridiculous.especially coming from Mitchell I'm sure the Mountainneers have beaten teams by worse. Hell Polk put 80 on us in 2013 and I thought we needed to get better running up
the score never entered my mind , i guess everbody has there own opinion, but I've seen teams quit when they are getting blown out and if you put kids in that don't get much playing time you know there going to try and score and they should those kids have to work just as hard as the starters
DeacnRams...there are a lot of haterz against East Surry and their coach...no matter what ES does to annihilate their opponent..someone will have something bad to say...It was 38-0 at halftime. The final score was 52-0. Do these fans not think that ES could've scored more if they wanted to be truly classless?

I wouldn’t go that far. Not many people are jealous of a team with zero championships and a pretty mediocre history. Outside of Mount Airy city limits, I doubt they have many “haterz”.
They are a good team this year and I really want to see them play Tarboro again. It’s so rare to see a rural 1a team have 3 decades worth of talent all on the same team.

Maybe a little context needed. East scores to go up 45-0 (with starters in) at the 10 minute mark of the 3rd qtr. The score was also on 4th down at the 33yd line after an INT. Too long for a FG attempt and little to no point in punting at that field position. Game went to running clock after that score. Last ES possession and score were with subs (JV QB scored). If they were trying to score with starters AFTER running clock I could understand being upset. Should they have pulled starters at the start of the 3rd qtr? You and I both know most teams (MA included) wouldn’t have pulled starters at that point with that situation and that score.
They have many haterz this year..but East Surry is living in the moment. A few of their fans really show that this super 15mn of fame is definitely new for them...and they don't know how to act like they've been there before. Well, maybe they haven't. Not many 1aa teams have a once in a lifetime dream team like they have this year. At least not in these parts.
Mount Airy did by 3 Qtr or mid 3rd Qtr many a time when up that much with Holder coaching and still kept scoring.

East Surry is just too good for my Rams to stop. We have been on the other side of these types of outcomes as well.

Mitchell, were you at the game? Then just stop trying to justify your comments. Just because a pop pass is counted as a pass does not make it a drop back and trying to throw 20-30 yards down field to score. East Surry scores to go up 45-0 in the 3rd quarter and then the last touchdown is scored by the JV quarterback. Guess no team should allow their JV kids the opportunity to get varsity snaps to ensure that nobody gets their feelings hurt. Looking at some of the scores from your games this season, you should be the last fan base that comments on running a score up.
I didn't make the comment slick. I just repeated that if indeed they were throwing the ball with the starters up 45-0, then that is classless stat padding.
