He blew a .000, so it was prescription pills as I suspected earlier. However, did you all see one of the field sobriety tests? Saying the national anthem.....BACKWARDS! Yikes!!! I couldn't do that, and I've never been on prescription pills or never have had alcohol........

What the hell is wrong with you?

You don't have to know the words, the police are just looking for your reaction, thought process, etc

First, nothing is wrong with me. I just don't believe in alcohol, tobacco, etc. Never have.

Secondly, the reaction the cops would see from me would be "WTF!" if asked to do that test. [laughing]

He was asleep.......said that he had taking several prescription pills. My prediction.......REHAB. He will recover from this. Too many people are hooked on pain killers in this country.
Yeah, this is what I'm afraid for him. It's an epidemic. Was just talking with a friend a couple of weeks ago who had a friend of hers OD on heroine, she had originally become addicted to pain meds.

You probably know the Russian national anthem, forwards and backwards! Just joking.

Is driving under the influence of pain medication somehow less dangerous than driving under the influence of alcohol ? Serious question since I honestly don't know if DUI laws also pertain to medications. People I worked with weren't allowed on the job if when taking certain prescribed medicines with warnings labels that cautioned about operating machinery.

He was asleep
He was asleep alright but due to being under the influence of prescription (assuming) drugs, he didn't just decide to take a nap in the middle of the highway. He'll recover from this but not a good day for Tiger.

It's been probably 10-20 years ago, but they changed the way they charged people who are under the "influence". Back in the day, it was just simply "DWI" (Driving while intoxicated). Now, they have just used the "DUI" (Driving Under the Influence) which covers everything; alcohol or narcotics. If a person is on legal prescription pills, they still may be arrested if they are behind the wheel of a vehicle and it has affected their driving abilities. That is why many prescriptions say "do not operate a motor vehicle while taking ________". It covers them legally, and puts all the responsibility on the individual.

He blew a 0.00 in the breath test. What do you think a very tired person should like like at 3 AM? I believe what he said about the meds. He should not have been driving.
Still duid, I tell all my patients not to drive while they are taking pain meds.

His third back surgery, he's probably built a tolerance to some meds. He probably over did it, and wasn't sure how bad it can get.
