Tilden lost their week 1 game when they forfeited to Farragut. Tilden won their week 2 game when Austin forfeited.

Only in the Public League....

It's bad. Real bad.
From Michael O'Brien:

  1. Can't speak for the others but Dunbar didn't forfeit season. They played a game Thursday against Harper. They simply didn't want to play Naz
  2. Quest has already "won" the Intra-City 4 conference. The other three teams have forfeited the season.

  3. Crane hasn't been able to play a football game yet. The Week 1 and Week 2 opponents forfeited the season.
  4. CPS football teams that have forfeited season: Washington, Carver, Uplift, Dunbar, Bowen, Richards, Baker, Hirsch, Austin, Kelvyn P., Tilden

  5. Uplift's football program has closed, forfeited both games. A shame, enjoyed watching them last season. Played w/spirit, a fun recklessness.

I remember when Tilden had some petty damn good football teams.Beat Reavis in 83 in a classic shootout then TF South and Tom Holba in round 2 who themselves rallied to stun Crete Monee.Only some bad breaks cost Tilden in the semis.Year before beat Deerfield but lost tough game to Antioch.84 and 85 they were good too.I think back in the 1940's when the area was much different they went to the Prep Bowl 4 or 5 times my grandfather told me and beat Weber? was it and Leo beat them a few times if I remember him telling me and someone else beat them.Hate to see this happen.Bogan & Gage Park though not as what they were have their programs on track this season

I enjoyed watching your JV game vs Christ The King online Iggy. That could be a program to watch. The Bears donated a bunch of nice equipment to them including shoes!!! Richards was supposed to be a part of the new school being built next to Robeson but I think that is changed. They need to Co-Op many teams into 1.Kinda be like Jackie Robinson West but do it uh legally lol

If Dunbar forfeited to Naz because they didn't want to play thus costing Naz a home gate & game they should be punished.A school here where I live did that in the first round of the playoffs because they didn't'want to play and get beat probably by 50 or more.TSSAA put the school on probation for this and next year,no bowl or playoffs for not just football but all sports.I think instead of worrying about Colin these so called caring NFL stars should address this issue with CPS football.Try to get kids interested & help out $$$$$ wise.Sadly not just a CPS issue anymore. Many teams going to 8 man.I recall a few years back Shepard of all teams had no Soph team and this year Argo no Frosh

John Hope in their last year as well as Noble Street Charter also forfeited their season.Whitney Young considering dropping the season :( Why any Suburban & or Private school would consider playing these jokers is beyond me

Points 1 and 4 contradict each other.

It's bad news/good news:
The bad news is that CPS is so awful no one in his right mind wants to attend their schools anymore. The good news is that they're all at charters. All 16 of the Noble Street group are larger (some 4x) than Tilden (272 students last year).

When Tilden shocked Deerfield back in '82, they were 5A (out of 6).

There was also a good game in 3A that day.

Kelly might have lower enrollment in the future as a rwsult of recent national politics, but I dont think a Bridgeporter, Canaryville resident or Chinatown dweller has been seen at Tilden since the mid 80s.

Whitney Young is one of the best schools in the state with a pretty big enrollment.

They had that railroad tunnel blocked off from any foot, bike or car traffic a few doors down from My Uncle. Some people said it was because a girl was killed & raped threesome say a girl was run over there so they blocked it off. Most say it was to keep certain folks from coming into town and others from going to the other side.My friend at Kelly said he hopes he is wrong but not to be shocked to see no football at Kelly in the near future

Look at that coverage. 8 reporters out in the field writing articles.
