I'm a Husker fan first, then a Tim Miles fan. I know that we've gotten some kids we wouldn't have without him and I would like to see what he can do with them when they are Juniors and Seniors. I'm hoping that we start making some shots and turn this ship around because I really do think we have some good talent but for whatever reason we're in a horrible shooting slump.
We have been a very bad to mediocre shooting team every year under Miles. Why anyone expects that to change in the upcoming years if Miles is lucky enough to be around I don't know.

I've got new for you. NU has been a horrible shooting team ever since Nee left. I really think it's a confidence issue with these guys right now. IMO, we really KOd their confidence with that stretch of games we just went through. I'm hoping that somebody gets hot and starts pouring in 3s. Shooting both good and bad is contagious. IMO, we need Glynn Watson to lose his conscience and start jacking up shots from all over. I think he can be a game changer if we cut him loose. He can get Morrow those easy buckets if he does. JMHO.

Not really sure what Nebrasketball history has to do with Miles leaving this roster with holes in it every year. Some saw it a mile away...others still had their rose colored glasses on.

Well to be fair AWIII kind of left the hole that's killing us right now. We were 3/17 from the arc today. 17%. Think AWIII might have made a difference? I do and Miles couldn't find anybody to replace him in that last few weeks after the clown left.

Miles had another open scholarship(again) he could have utilized even before White left. But Miles can't fill out a roster to save his life. You can act as if Miles wasn't a reason as to why White left the program. I doubt that's true. And I really can't blame the guy at this point. But, Whites gone...people continue to overhype the roster and Miles continues to rack up the L's. But hey, I'm sure we will be better next year by default.

He had how much time again to fill AWIII's spot? Miles tried to fill with a better guy than what we already had. Didn't happen. We could have taken a body and then not had the ship for a freshman this cycle I guess. We're not Duke or KU with kids knocking down the door wanting in.

We did fill it with a body. His name is Evan Taylor. Just another offensively challenged recruit. Again, we had another scholarship available before White left. Miles and you can blame Andrew White who Miles had last year and still went under .500. But, yeah...I don't see that excuse flying at years end when Eichorst and Miles meet.

A month ago, see below, you said you hope Eichorst gives Miles a few more more years, based on some good young talent. But now, you're mocking others for talking about the talent on the roster?

I think we have some good young talent and I hope Eichorst gives him the next few years to get the job done.

Evan Taylor was going to be on board before AW left and I agree that Evan Taylor is a marginal offensive player at best but we HAD to have a point. We pursued other grad transfers without luck and tried to convince AWIII to stay. What else could he have done? Look, I just don't think venting on the Husker Board does the team any good at this point. SE has proven he's willing to make tough decisions.

Opinions change...that talent included guys like Jacobsen and McVeigh who at this point don't look like high major players. Count me out of the group that thinks Miles should coach this sophomore class until they exhaust their eligibility. Assuming the results stay as is.

Danny was a horrible game day coach but man he brought in talent..

At least the style of play was fun and you knew at least a couple of the guys would be playing professionally in the NBA by the time their career was up so there were always interesting prospects to watch.

If you're not going to win, at least have a fun style of play to watch.

Sooo game by game, you're gonna either be on board OR on here whining about Miles. Personally, I'm gonna be a fan and stay on board with Miles until SE says he isn't our coach anymore.

Okay, so you're officially owning up to your talent evaluating skills, only if it doesn't improve.

You're a gold medalist in the balance beam.

Danny's guys just basically played pick up ball. I guess in a way it made them tougher to defense because you never really knew what the heck they were going to do. The guy brought in quite a few guys that went on to fairly long NBA careers.

Oh yeah, I thought McVeigh and Jacobsen would he much farther along by now. I'm sure Jacobsen will stick around..and I'll go out on a limb and say he will either sink or swim amirite?

I think I've been pretty clear in regards to Miles. And you even called me a Miles hater for it. Of course, his results or lack thereof is only further making you like look Miles top cheerleader. Oh and BTW, you can still be a fan of the program and still be realistic about whose running the program and its future under his watch.

You've consistently wanted Miles gone for a couple of years now. If that makes you a hater so be it.

"This is the smallest crowd I have seen at PBA. We had to create our own energy, and failed".

What is it with the Osborne hires getting upset with the fans when their product sucks?
Miles blamed the fans? For that product? That is a joke

As crazy as it sounds, I think Jack is who he was last year except, he's in a super bad funk. His shot looks good from a physical standpoint, so I'm far from throwing in the towel on him. Jacobson, I'm not sure how/where he fits in. My thought is he's a limited role player type of guy, but there was some small talk a week or so ago he's playing injured so who knows for sure? Regardless, he looks lost and slow this year compared to last.

Sink or swim, ya that's my tag, something I stand behind instead of balance beaming it depending on the day.

Not according to my quote above! Nope, I didn't want Miles fired. Hell, depending on how the Big Ten season goes I'm not sure he should be fired at years end. If he wins 7+ games should he be fired? Probably not. But Eichorst may still pull the trigger. But, I'm also not delusional like you seem to be towards him. What is it...the South Dakota connection?

I'm not delusional. Part of it is the South Dakota connection. A friend of mine's son was a 7 footer that wanted to play for Miles but at the time he wasn't at a D1 program. Doc couldn't get him but he would have come to NU if Miles had been here then. My main deal is that I've seen him win EVERYWHERE he's gone and initially he's done it with transfers followed with really good high school talent. I think he's a year behind schedule BUT man when I look at Glynn Watson, Jacobsen and the freshmen, I think he's got a really good young nucleus that could be special IF he can sign a couple of more pieces this next cycle. I would like him to have a chance to see it through. Tshminga is gonna be a really good big man I think like we haven't had in a very long time.
