Strange how that works out, but we've owned Sparty since joining the B1G. We've beat them in either football or basketball every year(academic year), but this is the first year we've done both.

Squeaked it out at the end but a win is a W. Player of the game besides Shields (who was a stud tonight)? Lots of good play from 3-4 guys but I'm gonna go with Glynn Watson. His PG handling of the offense and mid-range jumper complemented Shields' performance so well tonight.

Those 9 seconds won us the game! You still feel that way
Yes I'm sure if they had only taken 6 or 7 seconds off the clock, every possession would have played out exactly the same way and Valentine certainly knocks in the winning shot.

I wasn't upset that they stopped the game to get the clock right, but it didn't need to take that long, or include a counseling session between Izzo and the officiating crew.

Remember what the 2014 win at Michigan State did for our confidence - could this win trigger another amazing run like that?
This is a better win...This is still an NIT at best team but its a much better team than the one that lost to Samford

A very big win on the road. Shields was in a zone tonight. Good for Miles. Love how this team has played these last 4 games. Should be electric Saturday

I'd be more than happy with 5 NIT victories this year. It's be a good lead in for next season.

Well, look at the schedule and then look how this team has played the past two weeks.

Opportunities are there. It's okay to dream a little.

Watson's going to be a good one. Reminds me of a young Monte Morris from Iowa State.
