$160 million dollar defense gives up 32 to the sorry Jets then 31 to the Seahawks.
It's over. It's BEEN over. They are horrible on BOTH sides of the line.

To be fair, the Pens appear to be living in the past because the previous GM tied them to some unfortunate contracts. They actually have acquired some decent talent in the pipeline and though it’s a long climb back up, I believe they’ve already started that process. They've been poorly coached for years--somehow they'll win 9 games and Tomlin will be praised for holding them together and get an extension
Pittsburgh sports are awful right now. Tomlin's holding the Steelers hostage, the Pens are living in the past refusing to embrace the future and the Bucs are arguably the worst run organization in sports.
Sadly, this is true.As long as the seats are filled, Art2 is fine with the status quo. Tomlin will be here for as long as he wants.

I'm not blaming Dubas--when he arrived it was a mess. Sid has to take a lot of blame for that with his demands of keeping Letang and Geno.To be fair, the Pens appear to be living in the past because the previous GM tied them to some unfortunate contracts. The Steelers current version of ownership IMO is the entity that is stuck in the past. They’re the epitome of “loyal to a fault” and seemingly prefer the stability of Tomlin’s non-losing streak (mediocrity) to taking the uncomfortable steps backwards to set themselves up for future success. Honestly, a 4-5 win season is the best thing that could happen to them heading into a QB heavy draft next spring. I hope the OP is on to something and they enter next year with a new sideline boss.
Cuban should have moved the Mavs here lolYou need a basketballteam
You and me both!!I'm not blaming Dubas--when he arrived it was a mess. Sid has to take a lot of blame for that with his demands of keeping Letang and Geno.
I don't disagree. I was hoping Mason would start this year so we could go 4-13
The guy's a bum. Rooney is Looney.Tomlin’s got this.
The Steelers, Pirates, and Pens all suck. Don't forget the pitters. They are worse than the 3 pro teams. The pitters lost to Toledo in a bowl game last season and lost their last 7 games in a row. This year they just lost to a team that got beat by Ohio University the week before. Pittsburgh might have the worst sports teams in the country. They've been poorly coached for years--somehow they'll win 9 games and Tomlin will be praised for holding them together and get an extension

Dubas also traded for Karlsson so I wouldn’t say he has no blame for the Pens situation.I'm not blaming Dubas--when he arrived it was a mess. Sid has to take a lot of blame for that with his demands of keeping Letang and Geno.

True...the EK deal was beyond stupid though he did that to unload other bad contracts and because its what Sid wanted.Dubas also traded for Karlsson so I wouldn’t say he has no blame for the Pens situation.
The franchise and much of the fanbase still seems to be content with the "we've won six Super Bowls" brag, the last one being SEVENTEEN years ago. At least it's not as bad as the Cowboys. I know Steelers fans who, when you tell them the Steelers don't look very good, come back with "yeah, but we've won six Super Bowls!!" For sure the front office needs to decide what their acceptable level of success is. A winning season?? Making the playoffs?? Winning in the playoffs?? They're now tied with the Dolphins for the current active playoff losing streak - six.As long as the seats are filled, Art2 is fine with the status quo. Tomlin will be here for as long as he wants.
Past time. An entire regime change is needed in Pittsburgh.$160 million dollar defense gives up 32 to the sorry Jets then 31 to the Seahawks.

Even with Burrow hurt I still don't think they are beating Cincy and definitely not Baltimore.Yinzers uproar. Steelers are 1-1. Browns suck. Burrow got hurt.
Chill
Drastic changes are needed in every Pittsburgh team. The Pirates either need a sugar daddy owner who is willing to dump loads of his own money into the team or else the Pirates should move to another city. The Pittsburgh market can no longer support a major league baseball team. The Pens need to enter rebuilding mode. They need to dump Crosby, Malkin, and Letang and commit to younger talent. The Steelers need to dump Tomlin and rebuild like the Pens.Past time. An entire regime change is needed in Pittsburgh.
Yep that is a Tomlin MO. lose to sup par teams at least 3x during the season. As the saying goes. "the standard is the standard".This loss was as predictable as the sun rising. A cornerstone of Tomlin Stillers teams are horrible inconsistency, losing to weak teams and playing ridiculously bad in the playoffs versus teams they are completely overmatched against.
Yesterday was the first step on the inconsistency train. We will certainly lose to a really bad team this year because that is what the Stillers do. Of course we will lurch to 9 wins and then get blown out in the first round as the 7th seed in the AFC playoffs.
Bengals are going nowhere without Burrow.Even with Burrow hurt I still don't think they are beating Cincy and definitely not Baltimore.
The Pisces! The Fish that could Save PittsburghYou need a basketballteam
I tend to agree but they have a ton of weapons on that offense. What if they trade for Cousins? Or even Winston? I think Browning had 3 TDs last week...if they cut the turnovers they have a shot IMO but that's a big ifBengals are going nowhere without Burrow.
Browning also had three INTs. They’re going nowhere with him at QB. If they make a move for a real QB, that’s a different story. But as it is, they’re screwed. They won last week in the last minute against the Jaguars. That doesn’t bode well.I tend to agree but they have a ton of weapons on that offense. What if they trade for Cousins? Or even Winston? I really dunno. Pittsburgh is 27th in OYPG at 269.0 and 29th in DYPG at 394.5.The Steelers are a virtual lock to be fine this season. Nobody expected them to win the division and march to a title. And they’re on pace to win 9-11 games and likely make the playoffs as long as Rodgers stays healthy.
It seems like their defense is a bit banged up at present. Getting some guys healthy will help. They’ll be ok.
They won despite the turnovers. I'm not saying Browning is great but he's shown he's capable. With those weapons I still think they're a potential wild card team. Could be wrong.Browning also had three INTs. They’re going nowhere with him at QB. If they make a move for a real QB, that’s a different story. But as it is, they’re screwed. The Ravens are shaking in their boots!Sean Clifford signed with the Bengals.
Please, take him.20 Teams owners would give their left nut for Tomlin. Is he great, no, but is he better than most, yes. His message probably is getting stale at this point as well. His main problem is his loyalty to his coaches and he is not a great talent evaluator with regard to the draft. He should never have hired Art Smith as OC and he's needed a new OL coach for years. Austin is suspect as a DC but thats Tomlin's best friend so he's not going anywhere.
They always seem to steal a WR in the draft but they also always miss on round 1, 3 and 4 picks, which is where their lack of depth is coming from. Devin Bush was a huge mistake. That draft would have guys who are around 28 or 29 right now, in their NFL prime ut we traded a couple picks away to move up and get that bum. Kenny Pickett another huge mistake
Thats a big IF. They are one injury (an old and already injured QB) with a bad OL and not much offensively. Thats a bad Combo. The Steelers are a virtual lock to be fine this season. Nobody expected them to win the division and march to a title. And they’re on pace to win 9-11 games and likely make the playoffs as long as Rodgers stays healthy.

I agree. 20 other teams would take him. He and the Steelers both just need a change. Like Philly did with Reid.20 Teams owners would give their left nut for Tomlin.
