Was good to see them use the clock down the stretch and not be snapping the ball with 15-20 seconds left on the clock. We do that against CU and we win the game.

Even the coaches are getting better!
not to mention northwestern

7 minute drive...might be the best thing we saw all day...along with the 3rd down rush package...wasn't too effective but shows the coaches can be flexible and make adjustments mid-year...which is WAY harder than people think, especially w/o a bye.

That's a lot easier to do when you're up by more than two TDs vs being up by less than a field goal.

That's a lot easier to do when you're up by more than two TDs vs being up by less than a field goal.

I disagree. The effectiveness of a play isn't going to necessarily change if you run it with 5 seconds on the play clock as opposed to 20. I understand pace and getting into a rhythm, but if we would have ran the play clock down against CU, they would have had a least a minute less to score the winning TD, and they scored it with less than a minute on the clock.

It made no sense to run the clock in that situation.
