Beamer got his signature win. Now let's take that next step and shake off some bad Gamecock luck. It bit Beamer in the Mizzou game, when we laid an egg against a very beatable opponent to end a 4-game win streak. But the UT game showed hope. There were numerous moments in the UT game when Gamecock fans had every right to be thinking "well, here we go again!" but each time we overcame it. Whether it be Rattler sliding down short of the first down marker on our first drive to make it 4th down and then us having a subsequent false start to make it 4th and 6...converted anyway. Whether it was losing a key defender to very borderline targeting call. Whether it was an odd facemask penalty that you might see handful of times in your life if you watch tons of football. Whether it was a 3rd and 25. Time after time, we've seen plays like those kill our drives or extend opponent drives and strip our momentum and the game gets away from us. But this week, the team responded each and every time. Never flinched. There were so many moments when the game could have gotten away from us. One little thing throws you off track and you never recover. But we never let the little things throw us off track this time.

Now we need to prove that we can show up two weekends in a row against big-time opponents. It would be just like the old us to follow up a historic game for the ages by looking totally discombobulated against Clemson. Let's keep it going forward!

If we wear the magic/undefeated uniform combination up there, you'll know to expect good things.

Clemson wears all Orange. I say we break tradition and come out in all garnet…fire ants look. Color on color. It would be beautiful.

If not…magical combo works for me.

Luck had nothing to do with that. They outcoached us and outplayed us.

Have to have permission to do that. If you don't have it, it's a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty at the beginning of both halves.

Yes, as I said "we laid an egg" (i.e. we played bad, they played better), though I'm sure you actually understand the overall of gist of the post.
