People talk about their iPhones/iPads etc.. I remember when people used to brag about their stereos with big *** speakers. I guess those days are gone for good unless we're talking about home theater systems. Anybody remember going to parties where the speakers were the size of coffins and the turntables kept skipping when everyone was jamming to Free Bird? Hey I'm not knocking modern technology, just reminiscing. Please no "get off my lawn" comments. hahahahaha

Good point. I have 3 turntables and still buy vinyl, actually I never stopped collecting. I buy mostly from Acoustic Sounds but the local dealers sometimes have decent used LPs.

I have a buddy that keeps a booth full of junk at one of these little local mall, pseudo-flea market places and he says that record collections are all the rage right now with the estate auction/sale crowd. Said every other booth has a box or ten of vinyl and it's usually all good, clean, well-kept stuff - not what you'd expect to find. He said it's suddenly the best record store in town, lol.

My grandpa left me a freaking awesome setup that he built in the 80s. Huge speakers, receiver, turntable, and cd player. My grandma told me he was excited to give it to me. He also left me about 100 opera and classical records. So I have over a 100 records and about 5 that I actually listen to.
