Put more than 2 alcoholic drinks on your expense account and turn in the itemized receip. BB4L

Don't mute your phone on a conference call and leave NPR, or alternatively, Uber-Conservative talk radio playing in the background. :sunglasses:

Call the women at work "girls" e.g. "you know Nancy? The short girl in accounting..."

Call all the men at work "boss" or "bubb" and ask them "how's it hanging?" for a greeting.

Helluva project. Good luck.

Is on-premise required? Depending on data sensitivity and budget, you might consider migration to cloud. MS could assist lots with it. Must look at licensing, too.

They insist onprem even though it makes little sense in 2019. My problem today was that our 24x7 on call center HAD to have email for one function, despite my company wide communication days prior about the migration. My CIO wasn't happy.. so I asked how am I supposed to upgrade and test mail flow, client access, etc if I can't have just a one hour window? Even MS couldn't help.. because we have a 3rd party load balancer, rsa web app to protect email directories, etc.. too many variables

This is exactly why I want to leave IT by 50 and just manage properties. IT is just a cluster F.

Managing properties is worse.

Not so far. I've had a dozen people (literally) say "but they might call you in the night with a broken water heater"..

I get woken up once a week for the last 10 years because something in IT breaks. Waking up once in a blue moon for a tenant issue is nothing.

I have 200 servers to manage.. Those are my tenants..

Once grabbed the bosses trophy wives tits at the Christmas party with the obligatory loud, "Honk Honk" sound effects. Passed it off as being drunk. I wasn't. Then, they put spycams up everywhere in the office. I would go through placing objects in front of every one. They told my supervisor to tell me to stop. I didn't. Went out of town for a project that lasted a month. Working nights. I never called in. They finally called the place I was working and left a message with them to call in. I did. They wanted to know where I was staying. Told them I couldn't remember. But everything was going well. (It was). I don't take orders very well.

Drink water/soda/tea you didn’t bring from the break room fridge. The ones in Kroger bags or personalized lunch totes taste the best.

Complain loudly to yourself about the quality of the office coffee every single day.

You will be so popular and respected.

Bring boom box. Play intro music as you exit elevator. If no elevator, just carry boom box playing something akin to "Kashmir" or "For those about to Rock" as you walk to desk, office, cubicle. Throw candy to children and women as you pass them. Wink at everyone.

I would add Ace of Spades....Run to the Hills and You Never Even Call Me By My Name.
