That’s because he isn’t your coach. If K coached UK you wouldn’t like him and vice versa. Almost every fan is like that so it’s common. Same with a player “I hate so and so” but if that player played on your team “I love his passion”. Grayson would be the biggest exhibit. Other fan bases would have loved him and duke fans would have hated him

Not really...Umass, Memphis...there are certain things that just dont sit well about him. I love Mark Few, Izzo, Bennett etc....classy coaches...Cal just grates on me.

I agree to an extent. Duke always has ‘the player’ everyone hates. Not quite sure that level of hate would transfer if they played for a different team.

While it WOULD be great to see, I doubt it happens. UT just doesn't play good enough D. Their Conf schedule has been very fortuitous so far. UT is good enough on O that their D hasn't been stressed this year. Now that it is facing a healthy O that CAN stress it, the UT D is in trouble.

They have played physical, no doubt. But the refs have nothing to do with the open looks generated by the UT "defense."

UK was getting great looks from the opening tap, long before anyone was in foul trouble. UT wants to throw haymakers (in the form of offense) in the hopes that he other guy just goes down. If the other guy can thow a few punches, UT is in some trouble.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever rooted for UK to win. Felt weird, didn’t like it, hope that never happens again.
I don’t really care about Duke being #1 in the polls, I think we have the nod in bracketology. Just really bothered that people actually thought Tennessee was the best team in the nation, irked that their fans thought so too. Nice win over Gonzaga, Louisville is a decent win. But just actually watching them play... They don’t have a wow-factor and the SEC (besides Kentucky) is terrible. The only other noteworthy team is LSU and before today, they had played neither of them.

Cal is doing the same crap at UK that he did at Memphis and UMASS. He will break any rule to get a player to Kentucky and ignore any off the court offense to keep them playing if they’re good players. Kentucky fans will find out, just like the folks who followed him at UMASS and Memphis, all about what went on once he leaves.
They will look like fools for covering for this guy, and the only real question is will they pull banners down like his previous stops or does Kentucky have enough juice with the NCAA to finally have Cal punished versus just punishing the school that he leaves.
It makes sense to pull for UK if you’re Duke. You’ve already got a 30+ point win over them so them beating them handily only helps our analytical rankings. Yes, seeing UK win any game is torture but you’ve got to look at seeding for the NCAA tournament. That loss by UT basically ensures that we get the #1 seed in the East region as long as we do no worse than split with UNC and take care of VT and Cuse on the road.
As long as UVA and UT don’t win out all the way through their conference tournaments, think we could lose to UNC once and even lose in the semifinals or finals of the ACC tournament and keep the top seed in the East.
