We don't hate Mark Stoops but nice try at diversion. In fact, I like him but he's a bad head coach. Hell, I love my mother but she'd be a terrible choice for UK football coach. The absolute ceiling for this man would be what his brother did at Arizona although I'd be shocked if he could even clear that low hurdle.

Trying to make Stoops look good by pulling such a random stat out is ridiculous. Look who he plays to start the year and you should expect to at least be 2 and 2. Especially with a crappy SEC East.

Even if this team was lucky enough to win 6 games, its barely beating weak teams like Vandy..

Our second half offense was on point yesterday...

Outside of himself and the defense, the biggest drag on Stoops tenure has been getting absolutely ZERO from our QBs. SJ was aiming yesterday and can't read defenses. Conrad was running free to the post and SJ threw a duck that should've been picked off. Reece Philips is sorely missed.

I want better than just beating bad teams and touting success. That's the ul way but not mine.

Isn't six wins the lowest we can set the bar?
So praise him if wins those games and let's hope he learns how to be a better HC heading into the next FEW years. Cause if he wins 6 games we are married to him for at least two if not three more years ( as long as MB is still here)

Kind of an odd and random statistic..who cares if a guy starts the season 2-2 in SEC play when the rest of the season turns out to be horrendous?

No one hates Stoops or UK. Anyone that says otherwise needs their head examined.

Everyone wants to win we just disagree on the quickest way to get there. But as of now, NO argument can be made that Stoops can win more than 5 games a year and until he does, people are gonna itch and rightfully so.

Jalen Whitlow has the highest QBR of all QBs in the Stoops era. What more needs to be said about quality of QB play?

It's all about what your expectations are for this program. We've got fans that ignore the massive amount of revenue in the modern day and point to AD's of 30 years ago. You can't argue with this kind of willful ignorance.

I want to see UK competing for the east. Not necessarily winning it every damn year. But compete for it. Try and tackle a 9 win season. Try and make a major bowl game.

With this current staff, we are doomed for mediocrity, even if they happen to win both of those games.

I don't see stoops bringin it most years.

So it's all about what you want out of this program. If you're cool with mediocrity, Mitch will oblige. I promise you that.

If we finish 6-6, I will consider that Stoops has made up for the season opening loss.

I would hope that finishing 6-6 would only earn him another season, and not another extension.

I would hope our expectations rise next year.

Do I think we'll finish 6-6? Not really. This is setting up for 5-7, with 4-8 still very possible.

I don't care how bad the rest of the SEC is this year. I will never complain about going .500 in conference. But we've got a ways to go. I've seen this movie before and it's a little early to be dumping Gatorade on our coach.

2 of those three seasons he got to play Vandy in the first four games. If that happened for Brooks, he would have had the same stat. Instead he played a top 10 USC and a rotating couple of West opponents.

Dude shut up. This is just idiotic. Our 2 wins were against Vandy and USC. The other teams will eventually get to play them as well. Mean while we now have to play UT, UGA and MSU.

The SEC east is really bad right now to begin with.

And what will you say when UK gets beat by GA, TN and VILLE 38-3. It's not only possible, it's probable. No matter how you look at it, this team should be further along in year four. The coach should not be making coaching changes in year four like taking over for Elliot. This shows the same turmoil that has plaqued Stoops his entire time here.

KWilt, Most of the fans support Coach Stoops, but we also face reality. He hasn't got the job done so far. Will he, I don't know. The majority of UK fans hope he does, because that means he is winning. However, this is his 4th year, and I don't think he has done anything to make us believe in him. His first three years were a disaster as far as his coaching. He was so far behind the game, it was sad. A lot of fans lost hope in him being a good HC because of his calls, and basically laying the blame on someone else, his OC.
To stop the bitching about him, he just needs to WIN!
