I hadn't had a cheesesteak in quite some time (several months). My wife and I discussed that today was National Cheesesteak Day, and elected to join the celebration. I let her pick what to get, and she wanted a chicken cheesesteak, sauce & onions, so that's what we had. It was excellent. I would have gone for a regular (non-chicken) cheesesteak, sauce & onions, but I can't complain. The roll was perfect. The cheese was excellent (not boursin, @rudedude). And the chicken was sliced and cooked just right.

Kind of made me wonder why it had been at least 3 months since I had had a cheesesteak. There have been times in my life when I don't think I went 3 weeks between cheesesteaks.

Tom, next year we need at least a day's notice for this board. Some here seem to be a bit...slow.

I was aware and went here for lunch today:

Menu – Philadelphia Steaks and Hoagies

Best in the Harrisburg area!
Thorn : I travel a number of times each year from DFW to attend PSU Football …see family in Perry County and to check on a business that I am an investor in. I make it a goal to stop at The Philly Steak place on the Pike. Their steaks are quite good and their Hoagies are much better than Jersey Mikes. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. Thanks for mentioning!

Do you really have to eat half of a two foot cheese steak before you realize it doesn't have the right cheese on it? Hmmm...

Good, Whart! I know we're not alone on this...the line at 11:45 a.m. today was out the door and into the parking lot.
