I'm not wrong about anything. I report what the accounts report like the data in the graphs. Everything else is what we--including you--speculate on/about.

You want me to say "I'm wrong" with respect to you. Good luck with that...

“But don't talk to me about Petrino's contract. The incremental expense was Satterfield's $3 million. That leaves $20 million or so that had nothing to do with the football head coach.”

Time to admit you were wrong. And then you used this false assertion to then assert that Tyra was recklessly spending. Tough to trust any of your “narratives”.

Well you are wrong with attacking the current administration for the shortcomings of the previous administration. Regardless if you admit to being wrong or not everyone on this board realizes it. You can continue to entertain the fantasy that you are smarter than everyone here, that’s your choice, but stop trying to blow smoke up our asses.
Everyone = You + A Couple Others

The current administration is responsible for the last two bars on this graph. And neither of those years did they budget for losses BTW--so they can't budget either...

"The plan will be to pay Petrino in quarterly payments and have the balance paid in full by the end of 2021. That comes out to about 12 quarterly payments of about $1.17 million..."

Or about $4.7 million annually.
The 2019 Operating Expenses for Football increased by $14M per the financials and I don’t see any liability increases so it looks like they booked all the Petrino buyout as expense in 2019. I’m not a CPA but that’s how it looks per the financials.
Now find me your independent reference for that, and not what it "looks like" to you...

Zipp you are losing on every board, give it a rest or maybe just start supporting UofL if you actually are a fan, and don't waste my time telling me how many UofL events you've been to this week, people go to church all the time, dont mean they're religious.

I'm on the way out the door to the Indiana State game. No time to wrestle in the mud with you...

The audit report itself states that the majority of the expense increase was due to payouts to the previous football staff. Take your loss. Leaving for the b-ball game shortly. Get a win there.

"Vince" inherited the best financial condition that U of L athletics had ever been in. Arguing otherwise is a joke. Your guy was simply called up to the big leagues, and he wasn't ready--and probably won't ever be ready...

What Vince inherited was a **** sandwich created by the previous regime. NCAA and FBI investigations courtesy of your “master” and his unfortunate enabler TJ, a fan base and donor class with scandal fatigue brought about not only by basketball but also from Ramsey and his bumbling minions and the cherry on top in the form of a one sided contract with a guy no one else in the NCAA was looking to hire.

“Big leagues”? I was a huge TJ supporter but his continuing backing of Pitino and the contract he gave Petrino were strictly rookie ball.

Halftime. I don’t see any numbers in that answer.

Speaking of “losses”, I do see $140 million in expenses. Awesome...

You already posted the numbers. You just had an incorrect narrative to accompany them.

The money went south after the old regime left town. I’ll post those charts again postgame. It’s my pleasure.

And your clown show doesn’t have a clue how to rescue themselves. Funny as hell watching. I’ll repost their pictures too.

Sorry, back to game action...

Correct - the money went south after the old regime was fired for malfeasance (Ramsey), scandal (your “master”) and obstinately overplaying his hand (TJ). Donations went down dramatically as donors took a giant step back from the embarrassment of it all.

This is so true after the Ramsey mess, and the accusations against him by the UofL foundation. One would be a fool to think that mess did not scare donors off. These huge donors obviously are leery of what their money is being used for. The new administration is going to have to work tens times harder just to win back their trust.

Who would want to donate big sums of money when our Athletics were/are in disarray? We had a stripper/escort scandal that flat out embarrassed the university, we still don’t know for sure what we have coming from the NCAA over fbi case, and finally we gave a huge buyout to a Coach (who had his own scandal with a former employer) who did not have any big time job offers. Surely all of this would cause the donors to be a little skeptical. I actually feel bad for Vince and the new administration.

Ramsey's never been indicted for "malfeasance', and Jurich got every nickel he was entitled to from U of L. If these guys were so bad, why are U of L donors withholding money from U of L NOW? Makes zero sense.

I've talked to plenty of people over the last two years. NOT ONE says they're withholding money because of the PREVIOUS administration. That's an empty excuse for the clowns underperforming...

In the 30th post in this thread you said “Then why didn't U of L honor Jurich's and Pitino's contracts TO THE DOLLAR? Do I have to ask that again?...”. Now you’re saying Jurich got every nickel he was entitled to from UofL, which is it?

Also, the lawsuit against Ramsey is still ongoing.

My reasoning is totally valid. I actually contacted a bid donor for UofL last night, he has a suite at The Yum and Cardinal Stadium, and he told me that he was apprehensive to donate due to the actions of the previous administration among other reasons, one of which had nothing to do with the current administration.

As far as your contacts, birds of a feather I’m assuming, unless you’d like to add their reasons for holding back donations.

Guy who introduces himself to obese people with signs. And here are those charts and photos. You're welcome...

“Malfeasance” is not a criminally indictable charge but, I’d say getting canned for it certainly is an indictment of what his superiors felt about his - and the people he was responsible for - actions. While individuals may still be giving at or close to their previous level, big money corporate donors have pulled back in large part not wanting to explain to shareholders why they are funding a school involved in multiple scandals - one including under age prostitutes and another that came with an FBI investigation.

I guess you are assuming that my comment was referring to you. That’s funny.

Can someone point the direction to the Football Discussion board?

This is another thread about the new administration that is about to bankrupt UL and create a garage sale.
UofL defense and special teams are terrible. Yes UofL is on the road....yes it is raining, but UofL is getting exposed in the difference of talent on the field.
I certainly get your meaning. Here was the OP. Just another thread hijacked by a former regime apologist who is unwilling or incapable of adding to a sports discussion on a sports board. Perhaps if our hardworking mods would simply delete those posts that derail threads, those agenda posters would get the message?
