I had Salem/Dinwiddie for the title. Region B was once again loaded and had 3 undefeated teams (Dinwiddie lost to Hopewell and had two close calls with Petersburg and PG). Salem ran away in D and beat Broad Run by a score in the semis. What could’ve been! Hopefully we get some Spring Ball!

Spring ball? Dream on guy. You ever read the virus stats the last month and it’s not even January. No vaccine for the general public till summer now. I’ll be estatic if we are not shut down by the end of January.

I have to agree, it will take a near miracle to have football this spring. In fact, I will not be shocked if winter sports don't get canceled early into the season. But, I am optimistic that, with certain restrictions, we will see sports in the fall. Maybe pushed back a little and a little abriviated, but I think we will see some football when the leaves start turning.

I agree that fall football should definitely be a go with limited restrictions, like vaccine required for all players, coaches and refs. May be required for all attendees too, just to be safe. Have to show that vaccine card upon entrance with your ticket. May be pushed back a week or so but unless something unforeseen happens I see a full 10 game schedule with full playoffs with 8 teams qualifying for region play.

A lot of schools in SWVA and NoVA are playing basketball. I’ve always said that it’s not about us (the fans/adults/parents), it’s all about the kids. These kids deserve to play even if that means them only permitting the teams, coaches and officials and us spectators buying a subscription until next school year. I see that John Marshall has a travel team and they’re playing in big events all over the East Coast and Chesterfield and Hanover Counties will be playing soon. It’s a shame that Henrico and Richmond didn’t at least give it a shot.
