Today's Athletic 'predicts' who will be the 'starting' QB in 2026 for Power 4 teams-including transfer portal players. Surprisingly, they predict Ryan Boe will be our starter. I can only hope that if that is the case, Ryan rises to the occasion like Kafka and Persa. We can certainly use the $ to get some more OL, DL, WRs.

If Ryan Boe is our starter, there will be growing pains. Let's see how the staff utilizes him in the bowl game.

My take on this is that The Athletic" spent zero time considering the QB situation at NU and only made mention because they were covering every team. I think 90% of us here on The Rock have a better feel for the QB situation at NU than the guy who wrote that article.

I won’t be surprised…I’ll be shocked. I can’t imagine them not bringing a transfer QB in to compete with Boe for the starting job.
We SHOULD be seeking one who can more than just compete… but it sounds like nobody thinks we will.

Exactly correct.

Sadly, it’s also pretty telling for where we sit in the college football landscape. We’re in the big ten but among the most irrelevant teams in the P2. When uneven revenue sharing begins, we’re getting screwed. And when the super league officially happens, we’re getting relegated to a third tier collection of also-rans.

Merry Christmas!
