Today is the NFL's Media Day. Normally a member of the foreign press will ask a question that dumfounds everyone. This year with deflatgate the homegrown non-sports media have a chance to jump into it with both feet.

In your opinion what is today's dumbest question.

I am with you Edgy in that I am not bothering to watch it either. Many, but not all, of the media in this country are clowns as far as I am concerned. I am sure it is worse for foreign born sports media. I am NOT just talking about the sports media either, I mean the news media as well.

I don't even bother to watch any pre-game shows anymore either. The stuff has gotten out of hand and is ridiculous. Once in a while I do watch the NFL channel but that is on a limited basis. No ESPN, no FOX, no CBS, no NBC pregame crap for me. Just show me the damned games.

1. Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith was asked, "Are you gonna do it for Rae Carruth?" Carruth, a former Panthers receiver, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in 2001. So, so, so awkward.

2. Several players were asked why they don't wear jockstraps. When pressed further, Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker was asked, "Don't you want to protect your little Eric Deckers?"

3.
Someone was dressed up as Waldo, which led to his sidekick asking players and coaches if they could spot Waldo in the crowd.

4. Someone asked Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was asked to do a "Marry, (ah hem), kill." Deion Sanders, who was standing next to a horrified Thomas, advised him not to answer the question.

5. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was asked if this was "a must-win game." The Super Bowl. He was talking about the Super Bowl.

6. Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner was asked about the worst thing he had seen to that point of Media Day. Wagner said it was surprisingly subdued. Then, he was immediately asked by a separate reporter, "What do you do if you have to go to the bathroom?"

With some of these ignorant questions I am sure there are still people out there who wonder why some players and coaches get a little combative toward the morons in the media. They shouldn't.

I saw on the news, clips from the Marshawn Lynch interview. His answers were very good. "I'm here so I won't get fined," repeatedly. I love it and that is probably what I would be saying to these clowns.

Marshawn Lynch is a good football player, but, he is also a surly ***.

You can add all the Bear pregame and postgame to your list. What is there to talk about for hour after hour after hour? Who watches that and who could care so much about that team?
