In no way am I suggesting Golden did or didn't do anything. But, Snapchat exists. Among other social media messaging platforms that auto delete photos and messages after they are viewed. (Nothing is ever really truly deleted, but much harder to access). A school internal investigation is not going to have the power to convince these social platforms to give them access to see said messages or photos from their archive servers. The police, FBI, Interpol are the types of people that would have to be investigating this to convince those platforms to give access to the archival data. We had a coach locally who used Snap-chat to flirt, harass, and even hook up with his underage team members. The school couldn't prove anything and he continued teaching and coaching, and the girls were too scared of retaliation and shaming to file an actual police report because he was important, respected and well off financially. Once a brave sole actually did file a police report, the police were able to access the snap-chat servers and found a treasure trove and put him in prison. Again, not saying Golden did or didn't do anything. But a school investigation into social media messages is doomed from the start to be able to provide burden of proof.
