Anybody that thinks our AD WOULD AGREE TO allowing a player from the NBA , G League to join the UK roster has been in a coma or living under a rock.
He would absolutely agree with it as long as the NCAA was on board.
He would not pursue the same avenue as Bama has with Beddiako but that shouldn't be an issue with Pate joining for '26-'27.

I didn’t think he entered it. Oh well, he turned down deals to try and keep eligibility. He never played college ball and then left so bring him on. They are bringing back dudes who played 2 years and left and came back. This is fair to me then.
Eh, sort of. Things get pretty complicated with the Euro leagues. You’re not wrong that school affiliated sports are barely even a thing there and that almost all basketball players coming from there train with a club/academy instead. A lot of the 2nd and 3rd tier leagues there probably could be compared to the same level of competition as high school or college in the US.
Although not quite the quality of the NBA, straight up pro basketball does still exist in those countries though, and it seems like the NCAA has given up on trying to tell any difference. Just off the top of my head, we’ve seen multiple players like Sananda Fru (Louisville), Ruben Dominguez (Texas A&M), and Thijs De Ridder (Virginia) be key contributors to quality power conference teams as 22-23 year old newcomers with at least one and sometimes multiple full seasons under their belts in the top level leagues in Germany (Fru) and Spain (Dominguez and De Ridder), and I’m probably missing some other examples. Not that I necessarily blame those teams for trying to win however they’re allowed to, but we’re definitely seeing some full on pros coming in from Europe now and not just the equivalent of high school recruits.

Exactly, I just think more of an argument exists for those players compared to ours which is pretty cut and dry between amateur and pro leagues.
I don’t know who I hate more Alabama or Tennessee, maybe Bedaiko will sprain his ankle and have to sit the rest of the year. The rest of the league would never agree to Kentucky doing this, there would be such an outcry, screw Oats and Bediako. This is flat out wrong.
I have no problem with Bediako playing. I much prefer this being allowed to players getting paid like they are. He’s also been a pretty big factor in the first half vs UT.
I might be wrong but I don’t think they’d have to forfeit any games if he’s eventually ruled ineligible. In the ruling the judge said he’s allowed to play without the threat of any retribution from the NCAA.
Which is another reason he shouldn’t be here IMO. I don’t want a coach here that isn’t doing everything he can to win. ESPECIALLY when he’s already struggling.
