I had no idea it was in a 3rd location, but it was doomed after it moved from the 1st location

A popular Lexington restaurant is closing it’s doors at the end of the year.

I think it this is actually the 4th location. It was close to where Fazolis is (or was as I can't remember if it is still there) on Euclid which was tucked behind where the new UK building is and Kennedy Bookstore used to be when my brother was at UK in the mid to late 80s. Then it was there on Limestone across from Holmes Hall when I was at UK in the mid to late 90s. Then it moved to the building that UK kicked them out of on Harrodsburg just before going under that railroad overpass. It then moved to where it is now in the old Bad Wolf Burger building on Harrodsburg. It's definitely the end of an era. I will be having lunch there today for sure to get one last Ho Burger before closing.

Once it left Limestone it was over. RIP, what a shame

Spent many late nights in the original location during my time at UK, 1978-1982. Funny how the food tasted so much better in the wee hours of the morning as opposed to lunchtime. Wonder why?

That sucks but the current incarnation is just not good. Needs to be in a better spot.

Had lunch there today. Got in line about 1130. Ordered at noon. Got the food at 130. They had 2 people working. One taking the orders and one cooking. They told you at ordering it was going to be an hour or longer before you got your food. Most of the people were polite but many were downright awful to the girl taking orders. About 1230 or 1245 they actually stopped taking orders until about 230 because they were about 50 orders deep waiting to be cooked. I had to have one more Ho burger just for nostalgia. They are still good but they hit better around 2 am after a night at Two Keys. Still sad to see it go though but was glad to be able pick up a shirt while there as well.

I once puked all over a table at Tolly Ho circa 1999 when I came up from WKU to party with my UK friends freshman year.

I don’t remember if the food was good. Lol.

The location changes doomed them. They badly needed the foot traffic.
