Probably has nothing to do with Bradley having coached at both schools. Maybe Dick Anderson will be invited to do the coin toss for the Rutgers game. And maybe I'm the King of Sweden.

I'll be happy to see Bradley on the field, but I don't think he's being honored as he has simply been invited to do the coin toss. Yes, I'm sure they'll make mention of him, like all coin toss officials and the crowd will cheer loudly, but I'm not expecting anything more.

As always, IMO, any "honoring" from Joe's era needs to start with Joe. Anything else is a slap in Joe's, and the Paterno's, face(s).

Being invited to be the ceremonial coin flipper and be recognized by the crowd is an honor. It's not an over-the-top pomp and circumstance event it's still honoring someone.

Gotta add that wasn't a slam on Ganter. He was unwittingly used as a stooge which wasn't fair to him. Anyway, back to the thread. It'll be great to see Bradley honored on the field.
Yep, I get it and agree... he was forced into the middle of a horrible situation. I was kind of “ouching” the entire thing.

On one hand I see what you’re saying, on the other hand I consider ANYTHING moving in the direction of sharing positive memories of that era to be a good thing, and hope it leads to more of it. There’s also the timing factor of this being THE game against WVU at Beaver Stadium and that dovetailing well with recognizing Bradley specifically.

I don’t know if Kraft has the leeway to take on the whole enchilada of honoring Joe yet by himself without getting pressure or an outright ixnay from the board. Maybe this will help nudge things toward that in some way? Just another way to look at it. All in all I’m choosing to view it as a positive.

I think that Kraft is probing to see how far he can go towards reconciliation. He has the look of someone who realizes that he's in deep kimchi.

Of course.....they called Bradley because the coin tossers union is on strike. Its so hard to find good help these days.
