Exactly what I thought. He knows JW is more talented or they wouldn’t have spent the money to bring him in. They knew they had VV this year and didn’t think he was good enough. He found out why JW was a risky acquisition. What a waste of money. He’s also sending a message if JW plans on sticking around next year, to get a big attitude adjustment and effort adjustment or portal again.
That is a lot of reading between the lines. Novel level reading even for the 3 sentences provided.
The only tidbit I got from this interview is that NW had the balls to say FK this s**t about the seeding algorithm and voted NO. Hats off to them.

You're probably right about the investment not paying off so far, but not sure it's fair to imply they came only with the intent of scamming Bob out of a bag. Maybe just poor scouting/coaching, Nasir's new injury, etc. Think we still have 2 years of them, so we'll see how that plays out. And all this can happen in normal recruiting, not just a danger of the portal.
Well it is. I am reading that as an attitude problem and Brands deems him a bit soft and packs it in when it gets tough.
The reason it is on Brands is he should have properly vetted and addressed any and all character issues prior to bringing in anyone from the transfer portal. So if you believe Mo was only in it for a bag or that JW has attitude issues then Brands should have said not worth the risk-pass!!!.
But due to recruiting failures and desperation he put himself into the situation.
That is 100% on Brands. He controls how he builds, shapes or navigate the roster. Look in the mirror and its wont be Mo or JW looking back. Stop putting it all on the kids. They are what they were.
