could you please explain how a clemson fan is the head ref, and how the chain gang is all clemson fans?

It is bad enough nothing was done about the blatant choke hold on Lamar Jackson, it is even worse that the chain gang moved the down marker making Quick think he had a first down.

To everyone bashing Quick, you owe him an apology.

Louisville Football and administration needs answers behind this..........

He's just a simpleton that lines up the chains after the linesman marks it. No harm
In that guy being a homer as long as the chain gang is lining it up right I guess.

Quick's gaffe, not Fatty's.

from what is being reported he has taken his facebook page down because he said he screwed louisville.

no worries, we need to have a killer instinct and never settle.

We should never be in this position ever again.

the reports surrounding what transpired are seriously disturbing.

I think the "chain gang" is always provided by the home school. They simply follow the instructions of the referee crew.

It's all of the skill players' jobs to know where the first down is esp. in that situation BEFORE the play. They aren't coached to be looking to the sideline for markers while trying to execute plays.

I haven't been critical of Quick mostly because there are probably two dozen plays or situations in a game like that you can point to. But that doesn't mean he shouldn't be scrutinized, and I have defended anyone who wants to. This is a recurring tragedy with Quick...

How is a Clemson fan [Gary Patterson} a ACC official and why is he calling Clemson games? We are not the first team to be cheated by the ACC Troy got screwed there and UNC got cheated in the ACC championship game it was pretty blatant to me Bobby should have loaded them on the bus and left.

Clemson isn't the problem the problem is you have a Clemson fan as a official in the game that should never happen what should happen is ACC games should be called by a crew from another conference and ACC refs should be calling SEC PAC12 BIG10 AND BIG12 games that should be the way games are called imo.

Those guys are hired local fyi... The ones doing it at your stadium are probably UL fans. Refs are assigned by the ACC Clemson has nothing to do with that.

Also the marker is in the right spot if anything Quikc would have thought he needed to go further due to it being away from the sideline by a yard more than it should have been.

Its not like the marker was placed at the 4. That would be ****** up. You notice the Clemson defenders celebrate instantly. They had no problem knowing the line to gain.

JQ should have known the yard line he needed to make. Yes the yard marker guy wasn't it in the proper spot on the field (according to that video), but that's on Quick IMO. He shouldn't depend on the yard marker guy to have the marker placed in the proper spot.. Disturbing? Yeah a little that it appears the guy duped Quick into thinking he was further down the field than what he really was, but what's more disturbing as a Cardinals fan is Quick not turning back inside after the catch to attack the end zone.

UNC was not screwed. UNC should have been called for breaking the rule about 9 yard tick rule on kick offs not offsides. You really need to learn the rules before throwing out accusations.

You magically ignore that though.

The ref is clearly signaling stop play in the Troy game. The field mic was on the opposite side of the field. You do not know if he was blowing his whistle or not. You however DO KNOW he was waving his arms over his head signaling the play was dead.

The Troy game watch video of that the whistle was not blown till the guy was 10 yards down the field on his way to the house lol.

He's part of the auxiliary chain gang, not the official lines crew. Can be made of local officials, high school coaches, whatever.

With the "LEAD" OFFICIAL being a Clemson fan and the sideline guys all being Clemson fans it really calls a lot into question.

With all that is on the internet about teams that play in Memorial Stadium getting the shaft, someone needs to look into this.

Was too many penalties that were simply ignored, and finding out the refs were clemson fans is disturbing.

We lost, I accept that, I do not accept the advantage Clemson had with the whistles.




THE REF HAS TO HAVE SEEN THAT HOLD, BUT THEY WERE CLEMSON FANS SO IT WAS A NO CALL.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE REF IS LOOKING AT HERE?

Dude you are aware you were called for zero holds all game going against a very very talented defensive line with a QB who scrambled a lot. That is pretty much unheard of.

There were a ton of missed calls each way.

you have a big time football team now. some of you need to understand that in big games, it is always called loose on the boundary. Watch the Clemson Touchdown in the fourth quarter to mike williams, he is being grabbed and jersey pulled. but he went through it. Louisville DBs were grabbing and pulling too. (BTW, the kid with two picks is fantastic). Clemson receivers knew the call wasn't coming though because they have played in big games before. Watch the video of Louisville O line tackling our interior D linemen after they figured out they absolutely could not handle them. Play on. That's the way its going to be in a big game.

As for all of this conspiracy talk, come on. you guys are better than that. that is why I like your program because your fans (who I have fed now twice) are knowledgeable fans. Keep winning. I think that Jackson is so fun to watch that the committee will get you in if they have the chance.
