Tony will have to pay big time, I knew this would happen. Even if Tony didn't intend on killing the guy (which of course he didn't), his hot head helped lead to this death.

I don't give two ***** about Nascar or Tony Stewart, but Tony Stewart didn't do ****, period. A guy ran out in front of his car during a race.
The footage showed it, the police confirmed it etc. You entitlement people are killing this country.

Don't get out of the car during a freaking car race and you don't have to worry about it. It is not everyone else's responsibility to make up for other people's stupid decisions.

Parasitic lawsuit. No chance of success, and they know it. Just hoping to put pressure on Tony Stewart to force through a settlement.

That's what the majority of lawsuits have become. That's why bogus rape accusations and crap like this continue because it's cheaper to just settle than paying attorneys and legal fees.

Tony Stewart is not a murderer, but the kid that does is an idiot. Puffed out his chest to be big and bad and lost....big time.

No, he's not a murderer. His actions led directly to the death of the kid though. He's a manslaughterer. 1st degree.

Sure they will. Quite obvious what happened. Intentions do not matter. Results do.

Have not read all of the post here so apologies if this has already been stated. While I do not advocated killing NASCAR drivers for sport (think it is wrong), anyone who is outraged by this and supports abortion (killing a human baby) is a hypocrite. Carry on.

Abortion is the best form of birth control we have. Climb off your soapbox and give it a try before you act all superior to others.

It's a terrible tragedy, I figured they would sue him. Like mentioned, why it took so long is beyond me. You should never get on the track period. Your doing it at your own risk. Stewart didn't mean to hit the kid it was an accident and he should of never got out of the car to begin with. Had he died in his car rather than being hit by Stewart would his family still be suing?

Regardless, Tony shouldn't have revved his engine and fishtail toward. It was during a caution when everyone else was going low on the track. Looked like Tony was trying to throw dirt on him, but got too close. But, that's just Tony.

Where are all the people that I argued with when this happened that said Stewart would get charged with murder, his career would be over, etc?

That family deserves nothing. They'll get paid just to go away but they'd never win in any court. Just stupid.

Unless the laws of physics didn't apply on that race track there is no way that the engine rev that was heard on the video came from Stewart's car. Due to the distance, the time it would have taken for sound of a revving engine to travel to where the video was shot would have placed the "rev" well behind the fishtailing of his car. Braking would have caused the car to fishtail in the same manner as the brakes on those cars have a rear wheel bias. .

Witnesses said he sped up and fishtailed. It will all come out in the trial if it's not settled.

Witnesses saw what we see on the video. Unless one of them was in the car with TS they wouldn't know any more than anyone else. While often powerful, eyewitness testimony in cases like these has been proven over and over to be wildly inaccurate. It is no different than fans who see or don't see a foul or penalty in a ballgame. Instant replay often shows fans to be wrong.

Sound must move pretty slow in your world. How far away do you think the camera was? Sound travels at around 1100fps.

Doesn't matter where that sound came from, without question he gunned the car as he hit the driver.

I bet if there had been debris, or a tire where Ward was standing, Tony would not have hit it. He used his car as a weapon when he purposefully put Ward into the wall, then he used it again to scare Ward. Got away from him and he killed a man. Doesn't mean he hit and killed him on purpose. Means his reckless behavior led to a death. He'll rightfully pay hard.

Why is your speculation valid and mine is not? My speculation is based upon video evidence and a knowledge of the hot headed nature of Tony Stewart.

What is yours based on?
