Welp it does seem like a nerve was touched by the responses lol. I guess Crest can be excited about their coach hire but KM isn’t allowed? I can’t argue about titles so I will not. Y’all win that. Also non of us have been on here bragging about our team. Just responding so far.
Some of Crest best players’ on state championship teams lived in the KM district. A couple of state championship players of the games I might add. KM didn’t complain though. Also with the amount of homes that are or have been built in KM and with two parts of KM city lines being within Gaston County, families moving and being in a different district isn’t surprising. No one talks about the KM kids who moved into Huss, Ashbrook, Burns, and Crest districts. It’s irrelevant. We lose some and get some. I don’t worry about what other parents do with their kids. As long as they have residence within the district or paid their own money who cares. That’s legal. If you guys would not have brought in a good coach with your last hire, your all world wideout may have been donning the KM black and gold. Facts.
You guys also underestimate KM Financial resources. Yes Brinkley writes checks and has taken the lead on things, but the KM businesses, community, and alumni contribute greatly to the athletic programs. It’s a one school town with a 100 years of alumni to draw funds from. Personally I think Brinkley is a good guy. He probably should have been in charge of building that auditorium at Crest. It would have been completed by now lol.
Last Tim Moore is a KM alum and resident also. KM comes out on top either way lol.

The fact is that KM and Shelby get anything they want and do whatever they want to . We know for a fact that if KM had all these alleged transfers that Crest has received or will get Fisher would not go to the KM principal and “talk”. Fisher would be the head of the welcoming committee for those kids and nothing would be said.
You can’t pick and choose what schools you want to crack down on.

Hope all Shelby slappies come out to Crest to watch all those bench players play as they call them.
Not worried. Our jv team finished 9-1 with many of our best sophomores and a couple of freshmen not on jv due to playing roles on varsity. Middle school kids will be fine after we get them in the weight room.

We are pointing out the double standard of the superintendent Fisher , turns a blind eye when Km gets transfers in but has to go to have a meeting with Crest

I have said it before. Anyone can call the district office and verify. Cleveland County is basically an open enrollment.
You can go to any school in the county if you are a resident of the county, if its not over capacity.
You can not be a resident of the county and go to any school in the county if:
1. parent work for the school system, it's free or
2. you pay the transfer fee(used to be $1414, when I was paying it).
Only other requirements is you have to provide your own transportation. Other than transportation provided, it's open enrollment.

You sound corny to me! That’s how I know you only pay attention to what you want to pay attention to. I said all year KM should be the favorite but just pointed out weaknesses I saw that certain teams could exploit if they played, while everyone was already crowning them champs. I never hated, disliked or had anything against KM, never had a reason to…until now.

Rode up to Lake James with Marty yesterday afternoon and ask him about what's been said. First of all he lol and said just make up some stuff and tell em it's true. He said he does own some rental properties, but doesn't have any players living in them. He didn't deny finding players rental properties if parents ask. He said it's all fair game and Shelby, KM and even Burns has been killing it with transfers the last several years. He basically said he didn't give a flip what people said because people choose to believe what they want to believe. He did say if he's involved at all it's going to be straight up. He told me it was okay to post it, but said he knows his buddy Rulz always had his back. He said he reads preps occasionally, but not like he use to and would check it out.
The interesting part of our conversation was he’s looking into building a low-mid income apartment complex in the Crest district. I found that to be very interesting. He said that'll give em something to talk about and started LHAO. I think he was serious. I'll leave it at that.

My top 5 in the west would be:
1. Crest, they have tons of talent coming back and a great staff with a great receiving core and quarterback.
2. Dudley, they were young last year but they have a lot of talent coming back and will have a strong year.
3. AC Reynolds, will be up there with a lot of talent coming back off a great team who played 4a last year.
4. West Charlotte, has the talent if they can put it all together.
5. East Lincoln or Kings Mountain, East Lincoln has a great running back coming back from last years team and a good coaching staff with a great OC. Kings Mountain has the talent to have a great season just needs to fill the QB position and see how the players adjust to the new coaches.

The Gaffney at Crest on 8/18 looks like an interesting game to watch. Probably a good turnout for that one.

OG is a good program regionally but has to win more than one playoff game to be considered obviously.
They do have some good pieces coming back. The QB is a four year starter and the line is always well coached. I will say Crest showed them what big time 3A football is from what I saw that night. Same when we went down to Boiling Springs a couple years ago. Davidson County has work to do. Nuff said.
